"Beds were horrible! Lumpy, saggy with a hard edge of some kind. Chairs were old and broken. Toilet was loose. Looks like they started a bathroom remodel but didn’t finish it. Tub has a really nice tile surround but tub it’s self has seen better days."

"I’ve stayed here before and will again. The service is always great. Really friendly staff. Parking lot and entrance is always clean and maintained. The room was great bed super comfortable. Pillows and blankets clean and crisp. But seriously an update on the plumbing could use a major overhaul. ..."

Carthage is a fine town. Having being born here and raised here, I am somewhat biased but it has a lot going on for it. It has excellent schools, Texas Country Music Hall of Fame and with nearby Shreveport, it's in striking distance of casinos.

Carthage is a sleepy little town with very little to do. However, there are a few good restaurants, and if you like the outdoors and/or fishing, it's a great place to stay.
