"Stayed one night in triple room on road trip around Dumfries & Galloway. Room clean and comfortable with a microwave and fridge a bonus. Only negative was lack of electric sockets, although this was not really problematic. Staff extremely helpful and friendly and with a good cooked breakfast. Parking was also easy. Would stay again."

"I found this property when we had to move out earlier than planed for renovation works to our house. On arrival we were all stunned at the beauty on the gardens , the wild life, the fact we appear to be the only guests. Staff were amazing as i had 1 night were we had no where to staff, and staff were able to accommodate us. If you are looking for peace tranquillity i would highly recommend this place. Thank you to the owners for blessing us the opportunity of staying in your property. Absolutely Amazing!"

"Our room had recently been refurbished and may also have been an upgrade (ask for room numbers 10-16). Facilities and decor were excellent, with a walk-in shower, comfortable bed and free parking. We didn’t have dinner in the hotel but the restaurant was very busy. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was of a good standard. Staff were friendly and professional so we would have no hesitation in recommending the Royal Hotel."
