Our holiday
This was a very clean property. One could see that there was a lot of good upkeep. The beach was fairly rocky but the paddle boats were fun and the deep water had sand. The lake was actually warm!

Nice Family Gathering
A large group of us visit the area for the July 4th holiday. This was our first time using Vrbo instead of our camper and it was a positive experience. Sam, the property manager, was awesome. He responded quickly to any of our needs and was very friendly. The kitchen was spacious so we cooked most of our meals at the cottage. We look forward to visiting again.

Nice house
Beautiful property, steps away from their private beach. No complaints with the property. Our only issue were biting flies on the beach. But that was everywhere.

Cozy Home
This house is bigger inside than it appears at first sight. We instantly felt cozy and right at home as we walked through the front door. Kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. A big shout out to the housekeeping staff this house was SPOTLESS!!! We so appreciated it thank you!!. The only draw back was, there was so much cardboard and yard waste (too much to clean out) in the fire pit we were afraid to have a bonfire, because of the low tree branches right above it. Thank you Sam for a great getaway.

Home away from home
Wonderful little cottage with all the amenities of home. Pictures do not do it justice, that's all I can say. Nice and clean, well equipped kitchen with large living area. We had rented all 3 properties for the week for a family reunion/vacation. Two families stayed in this house and they loved it. Most nights we had a bonfire on the beach but used this home's fire pit for hot dogs & s'mores one night with all the kids since it was more centrally located between the properties. What a blast! Had a small incident with the shower in the main bath, but Sam responded and fixed it immediately!! What a great guy!!

Large family reunion vacation rental
We rented the small house as part of our rental of all three properties for our large family gathering of 32. Six folks stayed in this cottage but it could comfortably have accommodated two more on a sofa bed if we had needed. This cottage is well appointed and everything is provided to make your stay comfortable including linens, kitchen appliance and great laundry facilities. The cottage is comfortable and well air conditioned and since we were there during a real hot spell with temps always in mid 80s to low 90s we were rarely in the cottage but took advantage of the property's great amenities. Lovely private sandy beach and glorious clean lake water. We cooked out at the grills by the big house and enjoyed nightly bonfires. Sam who managed the property was so helpful and welcoming and contributed to our wonderful vacation experience.

Family Vacation success
We had about 30 members of my family, including 4 generations, on the property for our annual week long family vacation. We ended up renting all 3 houses to accommodate everyone. The main house is comfortable with lots of parking, great kitchen and adjoining room with another big refrigerator where we set up the bar. Each night another sibling cooks dinner, and the kitchen was conducive to group preparation without feeling cramped. The steps upstairs are wide and the bedrooms are large, with lots of places on the main floor for small groups to gather, and a great game room downstairs for ping pong, pool, Risk, and the video gamers to have noisy fun without unleashing chaos among the elders upstairs. Best thing is the lot itself, with 3 fire pits and a grassy hill that the main house sits on with a steep but walkable 30 second walk to the beach. The beach is sandy, with rocks as you get further out, but 3 kayaks were in constant use and the wee tots loved the lake, which is huge and inspiring. The house is well lived in and casual, and feels like a home rather than a pristine palace with oppressive rules. The beach house is perfect for a quick break from the lake, and for putting the young adults in. The 3rd house, cottage A, worked out great as a quiet refuge from the youngsters for the octogenarians. Great golf in the area with Verona Hills and Ubly Heights well worth the drive, and don't miss the kayak from Port Austin to Turnip Rock.

Long Overdue Family Vacation
We are MIchigan-ders who needed a vacation but didn't want to go too far from home. The location was about an hour and a half from us and when we pulled up we were extremely happy with what we saw. The property is beautiful and well maintained and we were greeted by Sam, the property manager, with smiles. I was a little surprised to see how close our cottage was to the main house, but we were promptly introduced to the family staying there, and made to feel comfortable. They were super friendly and we really didn't see them all that much throughout the weekend, so the proximity wasn't a big deal at all. The cottage was super clean and had everything we needed. The bath towels that were provided were great so we didn't have to lug our own from home. And the washer and dryer were a life saver. 3 year olds can be quite messy! The kitchen had everything we needed. The full size fridge was perfect because my Italian mother in law doesn't know how to cook for less than 25 people at a time! (yes, we only had 8 people!) :) There are Adirondack chairs that come with the cottage which were a bonus. We all enjoyed the bonfire and really appreciated the firewood that came with the rental. And now let me tell you about the beach and view!! STUNNING view of Lake Huron and a perfect little beach down the hill. We had one kayak to use, but the other guests let us use there's as well. We spent a lot of time at the beach and totally soaked up the sun. There were many sandcastle built and stones skipped in the lake. Lexington was very close. We golfed and walked the town there. And just up the road in Port Sanilac we had dinner a delicious dinner at the Stone Lodge. It was a perfect getaway and the family had so much fun! We would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a fun relaxing vacation! We are hoping to come back in the near future! And a special thanks to Sam for making us feel like family!! He was delightful to work with!

get away close to home but far from the world
We go on annual couples trip. House with a semi-private beach. You do share it with another couple houses on the property. Bring water shoes as the rocks in the water are big and hard to walk on when getting in. Perfect for us as we sat outside most of the day playing cards grilling or or in the water. Property manager Sam is very kind and helpful.

What a fun, casual and relaxing stay
This cottage was perfectly located for us, with direct views of Lake Huron beyond a lawn that was great for playing and for campfires. There is a large home and one other cottage closer to the water and these were also rented while we were there but I found that everyone was happy to share the beach, kayaks, etc. If you're looking for total privacy this one might not be for you, but if you're willing to be even a bit sociable it's great. Sam, the property manager, was knowledgeable and friendly and great to work with. The cottage itself was comfortable. Laundry and fridge were awesome.

Overall stay was enjoyable
We rented the cottage for our family of 5 ( 3 being young adults). Cottage was clean with plenty of amenities. Sam was great and easy to get a hold of and offered suggestions on the areas activities and places to eat. The complex does have other rentals so sharing is a must. The private beach is not a very big area and kayaks are limited in number. Having said that all renting were very friendly, helpful and willing to share. The only downside was the smell of the water in the cottage but we came right after the area had storms. The water was filtered but still contained a smell. Lake Huron is a beautiful lake! Definitely visit Port Huron to see Canada!

Convenient scenic cottage
Loved our visit. Easy access to beach. Kayaking an option. Full kitchen in cottage a plus. One rainy day allowed us to do wash while our four year old played indoors happily. Three generations found this rental a dream. Suggest you try the Portly Pig in Port Sanilac for light meals and ice cream.

Nice cottage with beautiful beach access
We rented this cabin along with 451356 for a girls weekend. We mainly used it for extra beds because the lake-front cottage stole the show. It was clean, updated, beds were comfortable, it had everything we needed for cooking including a grill, and allowed us to have access to the beautiful beach.

Beautiful rental. Great vacation.
We had an amazing time at this rental! My husband and two year old daughter stayed with our friends and their one year old son and had the best time. It was the kids' first time at the beach and it was so convenient to have the beach right on the property and be able to take them back to the rental in the middle of the day for naps. The rental was very clean and updated. We were pleasantly surprised with how nice it was inside. The pictures don't do it justice. The grounds were also beautiful and we really enjoyed kayaking. The washer and dryer were an added bonus as well that allowed us to get caught up on some laundry before heading home. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this rental to everyone!

Beautiful Beach and Nice Home
My family and friends had a nice relaxing weekend on the beach while staying at this property. We had a very good time and enjoyed the large clean beach the most. Amenities include a short walk down to the beach, a fire pit, beach toys, and 3 kayaks with life vests. In the home, there are standard kitchen appliances, a TV with a DVD player, and washing machine with a dryer. The property manager was friendly and available all weekend, staying in the larger house on the property. The house is very close to Port Sanilac, where there is a grocery store, gas station, park and restaurants. I would recommend this property to others.

well managed cottage on beautiful Lake Huron
Our family had a wonderful time at this beautiful property right on Lake Huron. The cottage was well equipped, including kitchen essentials, 2 bathrooms, beach umbrella, and our own personal grill and bonfire pit. The sunrises were spectacular as were the freighter sightings and bald eagles that were spotted almost daily. Who knew Lake Huron could be so warm! The Property Manager was friendly and helpful.

Beautiful, well equipped, relaxing vacation.
The property manager met us there to give us the keys and perform a quick walk through and answer questions we had. The cottage was perfect for three adults and two children and the furniture was all very comfortable and in great condition. The large dining table was a perfect setting for the meals we cooked there. All the appliances were in good condition, and the gas grill cooked our steaks, burgers, and fish very well. Front load washer and dryer were excellent also. The beach was very sandy and clean our children enjoyed playing in sand very much and kayaking. The kayak provided was very nice and the life jackets were included also. The setting would be perfect for a very large family if you had enough people going since there are actually three separate houses on the property (VRBO 450471 and 451356) with a common drive; everyone could still be close but have their own space. The waterview was somewhat obstructed by the main house and the beach access steps are adjacent to the cottage on the water but everyone had plenty of space. Lastly, the house was close to the grocery store in Port Sanilac and additional shopping in Lexington to the south. We enjoyed our time and would definitely stay here again.

Family Vacation
We were very a satisfied with our rental home for our little getaway. This house had obviously been updated and had almost all of the amenities of home. Central A/C, refrigerator with ice maker, comfy couch. The beach was perfect for our little family. We spent one day walking around Lexington and the next day we went 2 minutes up the road to Port Sanilac. We'd definitely stay here again!

Great Michigan Summer Getaway
Warm tranquil and lazy days at a beautiful Lake Huron Sandy beach with all the comforts. Clear nights were great for campfires on the beach. Great view of distant ships and sailboats. And the water ... So many shades of blue.

Highly Recommend!!
What a wonderful and enjoyable week we spent in this renovated 3 bedroom cottage! With a short walk to the beach, our days consisted of kayak outings, romping in Lake Huron and making sand castles on the beach. Our children enjoyed s'mores at the nightly bonfires. Quaint towns surround the area for those that enjoy souvenir shopping. The cottage contains everything you'll need to enjoy a relaxing break on the lake! A very special thank you to Sam!! Your care and thoughtfulness made our week that much more!! We will definitely be back!
