"Just stayed at Ivor‘s house on the shores of Clew Bay and it was brilliant. The photos in the listing don’t really do it justice as the space available to you is huge. All the facilities are spot-on. There were a few goodies for us in the fridge when we arrived and they even put up a Xmas tree as we were there for Xmas. Communication was great. "First of all, the lodge is exactly as portrayed in the pictures. We absolutely loved our 8 day stay in in this remote and quiet countryside. Lough Carra was beautiful, and we had sheep out front and dairy cows in the back. Beautifully landscaped as well. The caretakers, Jim and Mary were exceptional. "Beautiful, spacious property. Practical Details for Americans: they have a water kettle not a coffee pot, so purchase instant or bag coffee before you come, not beans or ground. They have a washer and dryer. You need to bring pods and be aware, it's a condenser dryer that takes about 2 hours to dry a verysmall load (5-6 items). Be sure to empty the dryer water tank. It's muddy on the property, so bring slippers or alternate shoes plus something to put your shoes in to protect your suitcase....

We brought 3 of our adult kids and 1 daughter in law and there was plenty of space and separation so they didn't keep us up if/when they stayed up later than us.
