"We both had an excellent experience staying in this Magnificent Hotel, such a great setting, most interesting Castle. The Dinner had a good selection of dishes and the food was delicious and well presented. The Continental Breakfast very good too. The Staff were so Friendly and helpful. Wish we could have stayed more than just 1 night."

The owners have clearly spent a lot of time curating the decorative furniture, from the classic bicycle in the courtyard to the classical wash stand. "No reservation on arrival after a long day walking the Camino - the person said I didnt have a booking and just shrugged his shoulders...I had to open email and show him email confirmation - then he made a phone call and lady brought me to a 3 bedroom apartment nearby which was old fashioned and dark - the bath was dirty with grim stains and the shower head was broken - more water came from the back of the shower head than from the actual shower part..."
