"Vitamin Sea Suites" are a collection of zero- and one-bedroom cozy condo's that are a stroll from our sandy shores, a short walk to downtown CB, and all the sea sights, sounds, and experiences you are looking for!

The space:

Pleasure Island (Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Fort Fisher) has become a RAPIDLY increasing vacation (and full-time!) destination for the East coast and beyond for many reasons. It’s a family-oriented beach with a touch of everything one might be looking for! It’s an AMAZING place to visit, live, and never leave!

The suite is in the heart of Carolina Beach and walking distance to downtown and everything that is has to offer. In Carolina Beach you’ve got the boardwalk, restaurants, and local shops of all kinds. If you like adventures, the marina is also there where you can take an offshore fishing trip, diving excursion, or party boat out for a sunset sail. Camping more your thing? Bring the 4X4 and drive (and camp) on the beach at Freeman Park, located on the North End of the island. You can also head down to Kure Beach and fish directly off their fishing pier compete with bait, tackles, and more! The Carolina Beach Lake is nearby, hosting a weekly Farmer’s Market every Saturday, FIREWORKS every Thursday, and outdoor summer movies on Sunday’s (on a large inflatable screen in the middle of the lake!). We welcome you to sit back, relax and enjoy yourselves because that's exactly what the beach is for!

These suites are a mixture of the original “period” construction and old-world charm, a kiss of shabby-chic modernity, and today’s technology because hey, there’s got to be something for everyone! Each suite has its own distinct traits, quirks, and characteristics. Above all else, it should feel like your “home away from home” while vacationing with us on our Island!

The entry to this 0 bedroom, 1 bath suite opens into a newly furnished family room combined with an open dining area and fully equipped kitchen (stove oven, refrigerator). The kitchen is stocked will all the basic cooking and dining utensils one can expect (plates, bowls, cups, silverware, etc.). In addition, there is a microwave, toaster, coffer maker and blender ready to help make yourself at home (while on Vacay!). Courtesy organic soap and shampoo are left in the bathroom of each suite as well as a (1) starter roll of TP, a (1) garbage bag, dish soap, and a sponge in each kitchen.

The unit's TWO FULL BED'S consists of either a plush luxury mattress or a new encased 8” memory foam/cooling gel composition mattress because we want all of our guests to be comfortable when it comes time to recharge. Remember, linens are NOT provided in order to keep your rates lower. You can bring them from home with you, buy them locally, or rent them (please refer to GRIFFIN CLEANING in interested in renting!). Pillows and comforters are ALWAYS provided!

There is one smart TV in each suite to utilize one's personal subscriptions (such as Netflix or Hulu) along with a WIFI computer connection for when it's time to sit back and enjoy some movies or shows after a long day at the beach! Bring a Fire Stick, Apple TV, Laptop w/ HDMI cable or another such casting device if looking to ensure all the tech comforts from home are available during your stay!

The outdoor shower is located on the lower right of the building to help get that sand off of those toes!

The SUITE: Guests have full access to their own private SUITE (never shared) along with a portion of a respective deck, patio, or balcony.

PARKING: Each reservation will have access to (1) ONE 8'x14' assigned parking space. Suite two parks in the main lot off of Lake Park S while suites 3 and 4 must use CB Ave S and park atop the property. Our local parking enforcement team “Tow 2 Tow” is poised to receive a Guest call and ensure integrity of the parking process if needed. Guests driving "oversized vehicles" (from SUVs to pickups) may have issues fitting comfortably. Any additional community parking spaces would have availability on a first come first serve basis.

•Closest BEACH access: Lake Public Beach Access (Lake Drive).

Neighborhood description:

Pleasure Island is a coastal barrier island in Southeastern North Carolina, USA just south of the City of Wilmington. Pleasure Island is located within Federal Point Township, in New Hanover County. The coastal resort towns of Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, as well as the annexed communities of Wilmington Beach and Hanby Beach are located on the island. The building itself is one row away from the ocean, and one row from Carolina Beach Lake. The property is set under a block from downtown Carolina Beach with its shops, activities, and dining. There are fireworks during the summer every Thursday night, Movies at the lake each Sunday night, and local fairs around the lake each Saturday morning.

Carolina Beach is a mix of friendly locals, snowbirds, and vacationers all looking to escape the inland and enjoy the sand, surf, and sun. We truly have an amazing community! Carolina Beach and the surrounding neighborhoods offer an array of sights and activities to enjoy while here. Some of these examples are (but not limited to) a subtle beach hike through Carolina Beach State Park, Fishing on the Kure Beach Pier, kayaking to one of the many islands surrounding the Intracoastal Waterway, watching canons blast during a historical reenactment at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, or petting some Sting Rays at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. This doesn’t even include the aweing scenery of Airlie Gardens, and our very own battleship (USS NC) in Wilmington! Perhaps more relaxing and less “adventure” is your speed? Our own local Brewery (Good Hops) along with a round of Frisbee golf may be what the doctor ordered!

Getting around:

There isn’t anywhere or anything on our Island that isn’t accessible with foot power. Downtown Carolina Beach has several vendors such as Tony Silvagni’s Surf School @ 308 S Lake Park Blvd, Carolina Beach, NC 28428 (bicycles, paddleboards, surfboards, kayaks, chairs, and umbrellas) for rent as an alternative to walking or driving. There's Sun Fun Rentals @1204 N Lake Park Blvd Unit F Carolina Beach, NC 28428. Taxi’s (local golf cart taxi’s) and Uber’s are also generally available for an assist when needed as well throughout the island! You can catch a Ferry to Southport in Kure Beach @ 2422 Fort Fisher Blvd S Kure Beach which leads to another ferry to Bald Head Island where NO CARS are allowed at all!

After all, you won’t catch many locals going OTB! (Over The Bridge). Everything you need is right here!

Our partners support guests of Salt Water Real Estate with the highest caliber of local services for extremely competitive and oft discounted pricing. They all contribute to the “Salt Water” experience and we <3 them for it!

Carolina Beach

•The Town of Carolina Beach offers multiple public parking options to visitors and residents on a FIRST COM-FIRST SERVE basis. Town-operated parking is open year round and paid parking is enforced March 1st - October 31st from 9AM - 8PM. Parking fees restart each morning during enforcement hours for all of the Town's parking lots and on-street parking spaces.

GOLF CARTS

•To the county, golf carts are considered automobiles. Generally speaking, golf carts are NOT allowed on premises of ANY condo, condotel, or apartment. The same goes for trailers, motorcycles, etc. For SFR’s or properties supporting multiple vehicles, carts should be OK. However, be conscious that few homes have external outlets WITHOUT GFCI’S (which are code by today’s standards). Charging a cart on a GFCI will immediately trip the breaker, resulting in the inability to charge a cart amongst other repercussions. Gas carts will generally be the ideal rental option if in a home whose parking supports such.

•ALL suites are non-smoking (including vaping) and a heavy cleaning/repair charge can result if not adhered to. This includes porches, decks, balconies, and walkways. Please smoke well away from any SWRE property unless willing to risk the potential loss of deposit or more.

• SWRE contractual quiet hours begin at 9:00pm EST. Town ordinance may allow more latitude with regards to noise (11:00pm) but our expectations are to help ensure all guests, locals, and neighbors alike have an enjoyable experience.

•Please always consider TRAVEL INSURANCE from your respective booking site or vendor to help protect your costs in case of inclement weather or last-minute travel complications (court, illness, etc.). These items are NOT refundable scenarios unless the property itself is compromised. If that does happen, we will do our absolute best to find you alternative housing.

A needed rest & relax by Mother Ocean
I needed some time to chill & reset. This was a perfect spot for me & I'm sure I will return. The maintenance man came @ night to help fix a/c, then put in a new one when old one wasn’t fixable. Both Carol & her associate were friendly & accommodating. I had an enjoyable time.

This is a one-room unit with a single bathroom. No bathroom sink. The only sink is is a kitchen sink! Pros: * Perfect for two spending most time outdoors * Two-minute walk to Lake Drive beach access * Convenient bike ride/walk to everything: the Lake Park, restaurants and a cool little Indy Veggie Wagon grocer with gluten-free, vegetarian options. Cons: * Old, nasty-looking toilet seat * Dead batteries in TV remote and no lightbulb in the only lamp in the room Both are considered "something very basic" things about which we could email maintenance and they'd drop it off "within 24 hours." We emailed about the batteries. No one ever responded. * We experienced an "appearance of periodic bugs" on two consecutive nights when a two- inch-cockroach wandered into the room. Salt Water real estate considers this reportable only "if there seems to be an excess." Sorry, one huge cockroach is too many! * In-room booklet provided incorrect WIFI network name. * Indoor and outdoor lighting came on automatically, the latter attracting flying insects on the porch. This property charges a substantial cleaning fee for a room the size of a walk-in closet. Visible dust bunnies were hanging from the ceiling in a corner above the refrigerator.

Everything We Needed!
The room was the perfect size for my sister and me. Room was very clean, beds were comfortable and no issues with the air conditioner. I loved having a code to get in the room and didn’t have to keep up with a key. We couldn’t have asked for a better overall experience.

Wonderful location! Just across the street from the beach. You can see the sunrise from the front porch. Beds are very comfortable. The only thing was that there is not a sink in the bathroom. Which made it somewhat awkward when brushing teeth. What we did we used small plastic cups and brush our teeth and rinse in the bathroom to avoid using the kitchen sink. We will stay here AGAIN and will recommend it!

What a trip! Me n my mom stay in suite 3 at the Vitamin Sea Suites...nice n cozy...step from the beach and also a lil hangout joint to pick up prepared meals, coffee, homemade sweets and veggies. Another plus was a laundromat right next door. We had 3 sunny days before the storm hit then we were fine until it past and the sun shined its beautiful face again on our last day. We enjoyed being nothing but beach bums but that's what we accomplished....thks Dale! We will be booking with u again in the future ❤

We enjoyed our stay so much! What a perfect location to everything. Started our mornings across the street at the lake walking track, then walked to The Veggie Wagon for coffee. We really didn’t need to move our car once we arrived.

Very clean, very close to beach access. Outside shower to remove sand definitely a plus. Didn't mind bringing my own towels and linens. Stayed in one of the upper units with a very nice porch and rocking chairs. Definitely will be back!!

The online pictures implied that you could see the ocean which you could not; implied their were 2 chairs, there was 1. No pots or pans to cook with but a stove??? I'm 5' and couldn't reach dishes. No cabinet space or table on which to prep food/eat. Was clean and beds were decent. Access to beach was close.

This property is just as pictured and is in a great location! Very clean and very helpful and friendly staff! Easy parking and being able to walk to the boardwalk with all its shops and restaurants is great! Awesome beach access! Try the Veggie Wagon store right across the street. Everything we ate and drank came from there. So convenient! We could not have had a more perfect getaway. Thanks for everything!
