"Excellent stay at The Pheasant. Traditional coaching inn with welcoming atmosphere and staff. Spotlessly clean, quiet, comfortable room with countryside view. Bath only, no shower but this did not detract from my stay. Lovely meal in the cosy bar, with welcoming fire. Very helpful and personable staff who couldn't do enough. Excellent breakfast cooked to order. Will stay again when in area. Excellent. "

"The meal options are great but check when the kitchen is open when you arrive. Breakfast is very good. The situation is perfect for peace and quiet, particularly for visiting Leighton Moss. It would be helpful if the wi-fi details were available in the room, but the staff are very helpful and pro-active so it was easy for me to get this (and other) information."

"This is the second time we've stayed at the Mason Freehouse, it was lovely the first time we stayed, which made us keen to return. Although it is now under new management, it's clear that the lovely, friendly, warm welcoming atmosphere is something the staff are keen to retain. We're looking forward to coming back and staying again, as the plans for new menus sound fantastic. Room sizes and facilities are very adequate for a short stay. The location is very central for the surrounding walks, caves, lakes and other activities. Thank you for a lovely stay."
