This is a luxurious bungalow located just 750m from Carna village on the Wild Atlantic Way. The property offers sea and mountain views and is ideal for family holidays or a friend's getaway. The cottage is just a short walk away from local shops, bars and restaurants, offering all the supplies you will need for your self-catering stay. Carna is a small coastal village in the Connemara Gaeltacht. Nearby beaches include Mweenish (2km), Moyrus (6km) and Trá Mór(5km). The area offers a peaceful and tranquil stay, while immersing yourself in the heart of the Connemara Gaeltacht and its traditional culture. Old style Irish music, song and dance are traditional to the area and are a common occurrence in local pubs and bars. Saint Macdara's Island is located off the coast at Mace head. Macdara is the patron saint of fishermen, and each July an annual pilgrimage takes place on the island where a mass and a blessing of the boats takes place. Nearby villages include Kilkerrin, Recess and Roundstone. Clifden town is 30 minutes by car and Galway city can be reached within an hour. Popular activities in the area include lake and sea fishing, walking, cycling, and sailing. Many more activities are available in the wider region, including golf, pony trekking, hill walking, boat trips, and much more.

The bright welcoming entrance hall leads to the large living room, the kitchen, the ground floor bedrooms, the utility room, and the main bathroom.
The living room is flooded with light from the large windows and is furnished with large comfortable couches, a wood burning stove and large flat screen multi-channel smart TV. The spacious and well-equipped kitchen offers ample storage and integrated appliances, including fridge freezer, additional undercounter fridge, dishwasher, Rangemaster combined electric ovens and grill, with gas stove top. Additional appliances include microwave, kettle, toaster, slow-cooker, and coffee pot. A large washer and dryer are located in the utility room. A breakfast bar area and a large dining table and chairs completes the kitchen and dining area. Sliding doors open from the dining area to the rear of the property where the large lawned area offers garden furniture and BBQ for guests use - a perfect spot to sit and relax on a sunny day. The remaining ground floor accommodation includes 4 large en-suite bedrooms and a family bathroom.
Bedrooms 1,2 and 3 offer king size beds, lockers, lamps, fitted wardrobes and drawers, and sea views. The all have en-suite bathrooms with WC, large shower cubicle with pumped shower. The fourth bedroom offers a super-king size bed, lockers, and lamps, fitted wardrobes and drawers, and mountain and countryside views.
The family bathroom completes the accommodation. It offers WC, sink, and a jacuzzi bath.
The property is centrally heated with an economical air to water system which allows constant heat and hot water throughout. Wi-Fi is available in the property. All utilities are included in the rental price. Towels and linens are provided. BBQ available. Travel cot and highchair are available. Short breaks available. There is ample parking available for four cars at the property. No smoking. No parties. Sorry, no pets.

Great property
Perfect for group needing 4 bedrooms, all ensuite and same size. Extremly well equipped. Good location, close to pubs, grocery, and fuel. Good proximity to parks and other fearures of the area. Entire property is in excellenr condition. Owners were nearby and made us feel very welcome

Connemara
Very picturesque location by the sea with sheep and friendly cows grazing nearby. The home is spacious with plenty of baths and room to stretch out. Landlords are friendly and welcoming. We had great weather for day trips to Clifden, Roundstone and Galway. A lovely home away from home.

Cottage 419 was superb
The owner, John, was out of town and his sister, Barbara, was an amazing hostess. She took care of every need. The house exceeded all expectations. We walked to the local pub where the food and drink was wonderful. The bartender even hooked me up to fly fish a local lake. Only an hour drive to Connemara Golf.

Kein Schnäppchen aber dafür sehr geräumig, bestens ausgestattet und professionell betreut und verwaltet! Sauberkeit TOP!!! Wir waren nur zu dritt, aber hier können 8 Personen komfortabel Urlaub machen. 4 Schlafzimmer mit sehr guten Betten, 5 Bäder, große super ausgestattete Küche und ein gemütliches Wohnzimmer mit Kamin und super gemütlichen Sesseln. Bettwäsche, Handtücher, Küchentücher, Waschmaschine und Trockner: alles da! Die Lage…Lands End…aber das wollten wir so. Je nachdem von wo man anreist, macht es Sinn, sich vorab in einem größeren Supermarkt einzudecken (Galway, Clifton). Die Geschäfte vor Ort sind eher dürftig sortiert und teuer. Tagesausflüge bieten sich an nach Galway, Clifton oder Westport.
