Welcome to our beachy bungalow we lovingly call "Tamarack Beach - Unit B" located steps away from a staircase leading down to the pristine beach of Carlsbad, CA. This unit is a two bedroom, one bathroom vacation retreat that sleeps 4. As soon as you walk in the door will enjoy the retro vibe carried throughout bungalow. When you are ready grab a boogie board or go surf. You will be on the beach and enjoying the water within minutes. If you prefer to explore on land, this home is known for it's "walkability" located walking distance to excellent restaurants such as Vigilucci's located across the street.

The Space
This unit is a two bedroom, one bathroom, bungalow located one block from the beach in beautiful Carlsbad, California. The home does have a mini-split AC in the living room, which is difficult to find in Carlsbad.

Guests will have exclusive access to the unit with self-check in capability via a smart lock. The unit rear patio are all solely for guest use. Garage with washer, dryer, and beach gear is shared with adjacent rental unit.

This property is professionally managed by Haustay Vacation Rentals who will always be available for any guest inquiries.

Located along Tamarack known for its good beach break surf out front of the house and fun tidal pools for the kids to explore at low tide just south in the Terramar area.

Car is not required due to the great walkability of the location and easy access to car services such as Uber and Lyft. Food delivery such as Uber Eats and DoorDash also serve the area. There is one reserved parking space for a standard car. Additional cars may be parked on the free street parking around the corner on Garfield.

Quiet hours outdoors start at 9PM. No parties are allowed. One pet (dog) is allowed with a non-refundable pet fee of $150.

Fantastic stay
Location is fantastic. Quaint condo with very easy access to the beach. We truly appreciated the wagon, beach chairs, umbrella, ice-chest… Everything we needed for a comfortable stay on the beach. Electric charging for my car was a bonus! The house is small yet cozy, perfectly reflected in the pictures, and is cute with original details. I would recommend and stay again.

A Perfect Carlsbad Vacation Property
Our two bedroom one bath bungalow was well appointed and spotless. The owner lives on site and, with the Property Manager, ensures all is well with the guests. The beach is 1/2 block away. We are very likely to return here!

Great location, cozy condo
When I look at listings I rely on reviews so when I booked this condo I was very hesitant when there was only one review at the time.. I took my chances anyways and booked. Let’s just say I’m glad I did. The location is great if you’re looking for beach access. As you can literally reach Tamarack Beach in 3 minutes walking time. Carlsbad village is less than mile up the road. The condo was clean when we arrived, though some areas cold use some touch up paint as flat paint can be difficult to clean. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all we needed. Communication with the property management team was great and they were quick to respond to any questions or needs we had throughout the booking process and during our stay. The garage had all the beach gear we needed for our stay including bodyboards for our teenage son and beach chairs. If I could suggest one thing, it would be a more comfortable couch. The current one is nice but hard to get comfortable on. Over all we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Absolutely awful
This property is poorly maintained, dirty, rodent-infested, and noisy. The property managers communicated with me only when it was in their interest; I couldn't even get in because they provided an incorrect access code (fortunately the owner of this property lives on site and she is very nice – she came over when she saw me, my wife, and my daughter standing outside with our luggage). We stayed one night with rodent droppings, other tenants' toiletries, and crumbs on the sink and floor, and left the next morning. I texted the property manager to inform them and I two weeks later I have not received a reply. This is a beautiful part of Southern California, and I will be back next year – but I strongly recommend against renting this property. It was such a negative experience that I am considering giving up on VRBO altogether.
