We stayed in this residential home February 2017 for 4 weeks.
THINGS WE LIKED:
1) This property is in a cul-de-sac
2) Laundry room is big and located on same floor as all bedrooms
3) Backyard patio, hot tub, grill, and fire pit
4) Roomy house with space to spread out
5) Neighborhood pool a few streets away
6) Friendly neighbors
IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THIS PROPERTY, NOTE:
1) The garage and several closets are locked off.
2) The decor is a bit of a 1980's flashback.
3) Extra furnishings may make some rooms feel a little crowded.
IF I COULD SUGGEST IMPROVEMENTS:
1) Upgrade the mattresses or add toppers. 3 of the 4 beds are very firm, even firmer than my husband could stand and my 8yo can usually sleep on. The property manager said no one ever complained about the mattresses, but it is likely most people feel shy about mentioning it. (We ended up buying a memory foam mattress topper to get through the month.)
2) Reduce furnishings in each room by 1/4. This is a beautiful and airy home, but the extra end tables, dining chairs, flowers, tabletop decor, etc. made some rooms feel crowded.
3) Reduce contents in the guest room closets. We moved lots of books and games to make room for suitcases.
4) Troubleshoot why the thermostat takes 4 hours to register its target temperature. It made the bedroom temperatures uncomfortable by mid-morning (3am or so). Guests are not paying for utilities, but I would want this resolved as a homeowner.
OVERALL
This is a great property in a pretty neighborhood with ideal proximity to stores, parks, and water. The neighbors are quiet and friendly. We would consider staying here again, being prepared for the beds and the space concerns.
