Room average. Carpet looked clean. Room decorated recently? Bed looked clean but poor quality. TV filthy only half dusted. En-suite reasonable apart from the dump laying in the bottom of the toilet which was pretty gross. Shower worked ok but drainage is iffy so it nearly overflowed. This was dearer than a bigger room that I had at a Ramada in East Kilbride about 5 days ago so I can’t recommend it to anyone.
location is good about 12 to 15 mins walk from train station and easy to find straight down Botchergate, and easy to walk to the main square with lots of bars and eateries, room was fine with en suite bathroom , good shower, fresh towels and tea making facilities, good value in comparison to other places, if staying in Carlisle again i would try to stay here

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The Staff were friendly enough but the bar was not open and the front door wouldn't lock
Basic hotel on main road which is very busy. Staff were friendly and breakfast was good.
Unfortunately due to the price we had a lot of late night disturbance from other rooms. Room itself although advertised as superior king was very small and bed was against one wall which made it difficult for us. You get what you pay for especially in August.
Lovely place to stay, room was perfect other than a leaky shower but still worked fine.
Will definitely be staying there again

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The property was reasonably priced. Comfortable beds, however, it was noisy at night and dust in the property. I found rubbish under the bed from previous customer. There was dust on the door and cobwebs by the front door.
It was close to Town, Mcdonalds and Asda, this came in handy to buy snacks:)

Liked: Staff & service
The bed was comfortable but the whole place needs a good scrub. Breakfast was cheap and edible.
As an asthmatic who booked a superior deluxe room and to get a room that was filthy, thick dust everywhere, hole in bathroom door bedding stained floor unhoovered
Absolutely disappointed so much so we didnt feel able to even eat on the premises
Only upside was its next to asda and poundland , close to town
We had to buy an air freshner for the room
Doors got slammed all night and doorbell was constantly going aroynd 1am
Wasn't able to shower as it was pure filthy so had to use wet wipes instead pillows dated and very squashed dressers were old paint chips all over
We got no information given with regards to hotel breakfast or facilities
Sorry wont be back
Untidy dirty
Damp towels
Even loght pull was diry noise duronf the night banging doors and noisy drunks talking about drugs outside in corridor i had no sleep
Sheet was stained matress topper wasnt nice 😕
I was only in the room 5 mins the smell of the stale smoke, the stains on the carpet and the dirt in the shower made me feel sick. I knew i couldnt stop here so had no choice but to hand the keys back in and spend another £400 and go to another hotel

Wouldn’t recommend
Really confusing how to get to the car park. The front desk weren’t too helpful. The bar is not open- doesn’t reopen for 2 weeks. That was disappointing as no mention of this. Very dingy. No toilet roll or handsoap but had shower gel. Beds were actually quite comfy but marks on the sheets. What do you expect for £50 a night though.
