"Our large group of family and friends stayed here for a week and enjoyed the beautiful Drawing Room for morning coffee, cocktail hour and nightcaps (made extra cozy by the fireplace). During the day we enjoyed the nearby lanes and paths that wander through the green and tranquil countryside. There are a lot of attractive and large rooms that are perfect for a large group, but bathrooms (and hot water availability) need updating (some toilet seats were falling off). That said, we'd go back....

Only thing I would say is we were a little confused on how to access the property at first because the address given stops at the cottages. I would also have liked the property manager to be more responsive, but the local contact was very helpful! Over all, this stay was great and will be incredibly memorable for a long time!"

"First of all, the lodge is exactly as portrayed in the pictures. We absolutely loved our 8 day stay in in this remote and quiet countryside. Lough Carra was beautiful, and we had sheep out front and dairy cows in the back. Beautifully landscaped as well. The caretakers, Jim and Mary were exceptional. Mary the house keeper/property manager does a great job of keeping it clean and tidy but there are serious things that need addressing in order to maintain the house: the house has damp - stained peeling wallpaper shows this, as do the mushrooms growing out the beam by the front door. I'd urge the owner to get this under control before it takes hold of the property. A few features in the description are untrue: there is no games...

"We had a wonderful time. Christa was great and so kind and helpful. The house was perfect for our group of 6. It was clean, cozy, and the bedrooms and bathrooms perfect. There was plenty of room and easily could fit a couple more. The location was perfect and there was a great space to park the rental van. Over all this is a fabulous house for groups. "Beautiful, spacious property. Practical Details for Americans: they have a water kettle not a coffee pot, so purchase instant or bag coffee before you come, not beans or ground. They have a washer and dryer. You need to bring pods and be aware, it's a condenser dryer that takes about 2 hours to dry a verysmall load (5-6 items). Be sure to empty the dryer water tank. It's muddy on the property, so bring slippers or alternate shoes plus something to put your shoes in to protect your suitcase....
