The A470 connects you to Cardiff and Merthyr Tydfil, making it a primary route for north-south travel. Running parallel to the A470 is the A4054, the former main road that also follows the Taff Valley.
To the south, the A473 leads to Llantrisant and Pencoed, while the A4058 to the west traces the River Rhondda to Porth and further into the Rhondda Valley. A short drive from Trehafod is the M4 motorway, providing access westwards to Swansea and eastwards to Newport, Bristol, and beyond.
