Your Taste of Island Life is waiting. Welcome to Summer Breeze, the ideal destination for small families, honeymooners or a romantic get-away.

The interior is tastefully decorated and well appointed with great attention paid to every detail to ensure you will feel comfy, cozy and right at home in this 3 bedroom cottage that sleeps 6. The kitchen is fully equipped for effortless meal prep and gas or charcoal grills are just waiting for you to grill up something scrumptious. If dining out is to your liking, give the restaurants at the North Captiva Island Club or Barnacle Phil's a whirl.

The 3 inviting porches overlooking the sea,park-like picnic area with 2 grills, private beach cabana bed, waterfalls ,Jacuzzi and 2 hammock swings will quickly become your favorite spots to experience the beginning of a new day, celebrate the setting sun or stargaze into the evening.

After a busy day of exploring the nature trails, spotting various species of birds and watching the dolphins play, settle in for a fun-filled movie night with 3 Satellite TV's and 3 D DVD players.

Take a jaunt in your golf cart to the North Captiva Island Club where you can enjoy the privileges of membership which include 2 pools, tennis courts, fitness gym, jet skis, kayaks and more.

Your tan will fade with time, but the memories of your stay at Summer Breeze will be forever on your mind until you return again.
Frequently asked questions: How do u get to the island?
A: NCIC Ferry which runs every 2 hours or Island Girl. Please check their website for reservations, ferry times and up to date pricing. Leave your car and cares behind at the dock. No cars on the island... only golf carts!
My prices have been the same for 5 years. Book now before price increases due to inflation
Q: How do I get groceries?

A: Upon request Paula (239) 839 3059 will send you a grocery request form prior to your arrival and will bring the groceries to the home for you She charges 40%of the total grocery bill.. Alternatively, you may bring groceries with you. If you choose to bring groceries, we suggest ordering ahead of time at the Publix Supermarket nearest Pine Island and picking the order up on your way to the Ferry.

Q: How many golf carts?

A: one golf cart is included with the rent. Additional golf carts may be requested from our property manager if needed.

Q: Is the home close to the beach?

A: Yes. Steps away

Q: Can weddings be held at the beach

A: I am not aware of restrictions against this. Please have a permit if needed and notify us of your plans upon booking.

Q: Is there a Hottub?

A: Yes. 6 person

A: Yes. After booking u will be provided with the membership Number to gain access to club amenities such as pools, bikes, kayaks , gym, etc..

Q: Is there shopping?

A: There is a convenience store on the island and a very cute gift shop.There is an ice cream store located at Barnacles

Q: Do we have a boat dock?

A: Yes, My dock can accomodate a 21 ft boat. boat rentals are available close by. First come first serve basis.

Q: Are there restaurants on the island?

A: Yes, there are 4 restaurants on the island

Q: How far are the restaurants and shopping?

A: The island is only 0.5 x 4.5 miles total, so all 4 restaurants and gift shop are close to the home. 2/3 of the island is preserve.

Q: What is the closest airport?

A: RSW (Fort Myers International Airport)
Q: How do we get to the dock in Pine Island from the airport? A: Pine island Taxi or Uber. The trip to the dock is an hour.


Q: Where do we go shopping?
A: I recommend that you buy your groceries at Publix or Winndixie which is on the way to Pine Island. You can order your groceries from Publix ahead of time and pick it up on the way to the marina.
Q: Do you have beach chairs and beach umbrellas?

A: Yes, these are provided for your use during your stay. We also have some sand toys. Enjoy

Better than we could have hoped for
The view from this property could not be beat. The home was spacious, full of windows, and balconies, beautiful inside and out and surrounded by lovely flowers and papaya trees. We drove around on a golf cart several times a day and spent hours upon hours in the warm gulf waters. We would recommend this house to anyone looking for an amazing island experience.

We loved it! Best views and sunsets!
Our family of 5 had the very best time. The home is right on Sunset Beach and the views were amazing - from the beach and from all the windows and decks at the house. We loved walking along the beach and along the preserve trail. We also took advantage of all the club membership had to offer and used the kayaks, paddleboards and bikes for fun family adventures. We really hope we get to come back soon.

We loved the location, listening to the waves on the Gulf, watching the sunset off the balcony, listening to the Osprey nesting on the neighbor's housetop. Any concerns we had were handled swiftly by the owner Chris. We would surely stay there again.

Cold Christmas days in a warm house with a wonderful view
Chris is a nice host who helped us, unfamiliar with the area, find our way with three little kids around North Captiva and the surrounding area.

Wonderful location
You cannot bet the view from the rear porch for sunsets, absolutely beautiful! Wonderful place, very relaxing. The property manager was very responsive. Will definitely be back!

The property was amazing and the views nothing less than spectacular. The beach was just out the door and even with the hurricane damage, it was beautiful. Paula and Captain Ritchie were great and very quick to respond. We will definitely be back to this amazing property.

We loved that the property has its own private access to the beach and the views from the balconies were amazing! We also loved that the owner has all beach equipment you might need, plenty of kitchen supplies, bikes, and kayaks. The communication from owner and property manager was very quick and friendly. Just the perfect location. Steps to the beach is hard to get for this price point. We really enjoyed the house also. Fully stocked kitchen. All the beach stuff you could need. Property manager was great to work with. We will definitely be back to this house.

Summer Breeze was everything I wanted during our honeymoon. Plenty of cooking utensils for making meals. The view was absolutely outstanding, with great views of the sunset. We saw dolphins out on the water from the back porch. 10/10 recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, relaxing stay.

This property was amazing !! We had everything and anything you could think of that u might need for our week already at the house which was great so u don't half to pack alot to take across on the ferry ! The views were amazing and just walk out your door and your on the beach which for me was wonderful !! A perfect week of relaxation and beautiful scenery
This was our first venture into staying on North Captiva island. After some careful planning for groceries, etc. the stay was awesome! We loved the sunsets off the upper deck, and laying in the hammock during some down time. The property was as advertised, on the beach, plenty of room & sufficient amenities. When a couple small issues arose the property manager & owner were very responsive.

Nice house, great location, superb property manager
Overall very positive stay. The house worked well for our family with four children. The property manager was extremely responsive to any minor issues. I recommend fishing with Capt Richie, too. Just make sure you plan ahead the ferry to get there and checkin procedures as the NCIC staff weren’t very helpful.

Tips from our Stay at North Captiva
Property-perfect view, steps to beach, old FL charm, beautiful gardens, many extras provided, clean, great communication…needs new golf cart desperately, (be aware this can be a problem as this rental does not deliver you to dock on way back) (we did have issue flat tire, then dead battery then 3rd cart we hung off side and roof with luggage piled on feet and lap…we laughed only because we made it to dock….barely) washer and dryer need a deep clean, not owners fault but when the sprinklers go off it smells like sewage and takes your breath away. Shelling is not so good, no live bait on island but fishing was ok from shell reef. Pool at club (Mangos) wonderful - food there…yuk and $$$$ overall island felt deserted…we like that, we also were prepared and cooked amazing meals. Great cookware in kitchen! Porches were lovely to watch the sunsets. We liked island Girls for Ferry and do try Tarpon Lodge if you have time before Ferry. Amazing food and cocktails! Had a very relaxing week, but that was long enough without access to groceries, restaurants or decent shelling and bait.

Great location with amazing view! House was very clean and well equipped with everything you might need. We especially enjoyed watching the most beautiful sunsets from the screened deck. Great house with spectacular views. We’ll-stocked with activities, towels, kitchen equipment, and spices. Manager, Paula, was great to respond to questions. A wonderful family getaway
Our family of four spent a fantastic week at Summer Breeze. The house is very nice and comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed for cooking. The 3 bedrooms are nicely decorated and the beds are comfortable. The master has a wonderful slider to a deck so you can fall asleep to the stars over the water and wake up to an unobstructed view of the beach and water. Great location - beach is literally 10 steps away. The caretakers are very nice people - responsive and helpful. Couldn't ask for more and can't wait to return.

Great location on the island.
The house was very clean, tastefully decorated and equipped with all the necessary amenities. As many people mentioned, we loved that they had several water filters in the house, a great feature. My kids favorite feature was the smart TV, after a long day in the sun it's nice to relax and still have the comforts of home, Netflix included. The best part of this house though is the location and view. The house is literally on the beach so drinking your morning coffee or evening wine was a fabulous treat with that view right from the deck. Thanks so much for sharing your home on this little island of paradise!
