To be fair management was excellent (Paola was particularly attentive and helpful) and if you have a large group and do not care about being on the water you might feel differently, but having rented the property for my family over the holidays I was extremely disappointed. The owner (who lives in Europe) tries to micro-manage utility usage to the point where you have to request a change in temperature outside a four-degree range. You cannot control the pool heat. You can not access the bay either as the owners keeps his boat on a lift completely blocking the dock. No views, no fishing, you might as well be off the water. The only access to the water is through an unlicensed and dangerous plastic pad tied to the the bulkhead. This is where you have to fish and try to launch your kyack. The dishes, flatware, etc, were mismatched, worn and generally disagreeable. The grill was small, rusty and greasy. Most of the beach chairs were rusty and broken, of the seven bikes only two were functional when we arrived (we fixed two others) and the "kyacks" are a mess. The cable package was so bare minimum that you can not even get local channels in HD let alone CNN, ESPN or other basic channels. Not only do you need a Firestick, Chromestick or whatever to watch normal cable channels you also need to purchase an over-air antenna just to be able to watch national broadcasts in HD. The master bedroom does not even have a TV.
For a very significant price for my two weeks of vacation, this was hardly what I was expecting. On the other hand, if you have 15 people who want to party this place may be great. Lots of land, lots of space inside the house, just not waterfront luxury.
