The area was perfect. Easy to find, very peaceful and quiet.
The house was, well, different than any other vacation rental I've stayed in. There was so. much. stuff. The closets were filled with bulbless lamps, vacuum cleaners, and pieces of art, while the cabinets were stuffed with dishes. Usually in rentals you can't find enough stuff to use in the kitchen, not this one. It was just kind of strange and funny. There were no dressers. We couldn't find anywhere to really put things... so clothes were put on an extra kitchen chair, and groceries were piled on the table. There was just assorted stuff everywhere. It was kind of annoying. The floor was very sandy when we got there.
BUT. The bathrooms were VERY clean, with great water pressure. (And lots of stuff in the vanities haha).
The yard was super overgrown.
It seemed like someone is in the middle of renovating this property. Patched holes not yet painted, broken curtain rods.
Anyway, it really wasn't a bad place to stay. Just a little quirky. But we were able to relax, sleep, cook, and do all the things you should at a house. Who goes to Cape May to stay indoors anyway?
