Let the fun begin here! Walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Steps to all the pleasures of the gas lit streets and Victorian homes in Cape May and West Cape May. This large, renovated, cozy and bright 3 story Victorian (over 1oo years old) will be your home away from home with all the comforts you need including two zone A/C & heat. This home sleeps a max of 13 with 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths, 2 half baths, hardwood floors, ceramic tile, granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. The 1st floor consists of 2 living rooms with a queen size sofa bed in one of the living rooms, a large kitchen with seating for 10, a master bedroom with a king size bed and a private bath, a laundry room and mahogany porches in the front and on the side of the house. The 2nd floor consists of a master bedroom with a queen size bed and a private bath, a second bedroom with a queen size bed, a full bathroom, a kitchenette with seating for 6 and a second floor screened mahogany porch on the side of the house. The 3rd floor consists of 1 bedroom with a twin bed, a den/nook area with 2 twin beds, a half bath and a living area with a twin size sofa bed and full sized futon. All rooms have flat screen TVs. There is also a front and rear fenced yard and in the rear yard there is a BBQ grill, an outside shower, a clothes line and a bike garage which houses twelve bikes (9 adult & 3 children) and additional beach chairs for use in the yard or at the beach. You will find that this fantastic house is an easy walk to Broadway Beach, Grant Street Beach and The Cove. Public restrooms and a snack bar are located at Broadway Beach but Grant Street Beach and The Cove offer privacy and a magnificent view of the lighthouse. And, for your convenience, beach chairs and 2 beach blankets are stored in the green garage and are available for your use.

**we provide pillows, bedspreads, comforters, and throw blankets. Guests are responsible for bed sheets and bath towels.

**For pets, please email us a photo of the pet and his/her name, age, and breed for approval by the Owners. Please indicate if your pet is crate trained. We charge a pet fee of $250 per pet. Thank you.

Lovely home, great location
The house is lovely. Very clean and comfortable. The only surprise is the third floor bedroom with 2 single beds does not have a door so there is no privacy. The porches are beautiful and we loved our stay.

August beach family vacation
We all enjoyed our vacation! The cottage was extremely clean and provided us with everything we needed. It was convenient to the cove where the kids all like to surf and downtown. Access to all the bikes was a plus as it is a little walk to the cove. We would definitely recommend this cottage for a large family with kids.

Fantastic week with extended family
The house was perfect for my husband and I, our 3 adult children, their spouses and 3 grandchildren to spend Christmas week together. The two living areas were wonderful. The kitchen is large and had everything that we needed to cook in every night. We would definitely stay here again.

This spacious, well equipped home was perfect for our multi generational group to have Thanksgiving together. Everyone had their own space, their own TVs and bathrooms! Kitchen was exceptionally well equipped. Close to everything Cape May has to offer.

Amazing location!
The house and the neighborhood are awesome. You are only a few minutes walk to Washington Mall and there are a few restaurants within a couple blocks as well. Once you walk in the door you immediately relax and that is a feeling you cannot put a price on. This is a fantastic property and the owners and accessible and communication is easy.

This is a beautiful, well kept, and clean home. The photos accurately showed the rooms. We loved the porches! We also really liked having a second kitchen/refrigerator on the second floor. The third floor sleeping area is really more geared for kids, but the adults in our group made it work.

Great House for Family Fun
Had a lovely week at “ SeaHorse Cottage “ . Easy walk to the beach . House accommodations worked well for us. Having beach chairs and bikes was great. Loved having the pass for an additional 2 beach chairs and an umbrella. The kitchen had everything we needed . There are 3 porches to sit out and enjoy and a nice yard with picnic table. Easy walk into town. Treasured memories were made here.

A gem of a vacation rental
Everyone in our family was delighted with our week-long stay at the Sea Horse cottage. The location was convenient; the house was comfortable, clean, and big enough for our group of 8 people. Kitchen, bathrooms and appliances were modern. Every room had charm. The bicycles were an extra bonus and well used! The owners were quick and thorough with communication. Five star experience all around. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay to anyone and would love to return to this lovely sanctuary in the future.

Cozy Cape May
We stayed for a week at this large and cozy Cape May Home. The home is stocked with everything you need and is walking distance to the Town Square but far enough away for peace and quiet. There is two very close eateries (a market for amazing sandwiches and a beautiful wood fire pizza/eclectic dining restaurant) that we ate at several times during our stay. The house has plenty of parking and the neighborhood was quaint. Both Karen and her husband were very nice to work with. Thanks again for allowing us to create unforgettable memories in my favorite beach town!!! Eileen

Check out experience was stressful
The many requirements for check out made it quite stressful. We rented the linen service they offered, the bedding was quite inaccurate, to Karen’s credit she brought new sheets the right size. The towels bins were mislabeled, which I just realized at check out. I spent lots of time counting and make it all fit to what the labels read.. Finally the request to vacuum the entire house, I found excessive as we paid a substantial fee for the cleaning. We don’t vacuum our respective houses, 3 different households, parents and children, we have cleaning services that do it for us. Having to spent the last morning, all before 10:00 AM almost spoiled an otherwise wonderful experience.

Disappointing Rental
All of us were disappointed - this was an expensive rental, and we chose it because of other reviews. So we recognize that others may have been happy, but we were not. We would have been happier if the owners seemed willing to do any level of service recovery - even validate our concerns. nada. Our collective issues: 1. cleanliness - grill grates with leftover meat, kitchen floor only superficially clean, upstairs air filter filthy, dirty sponge left in sink 2. amenities missing or broken (partial list) - bikes unrideable as is (all tires needed air, 2 flat), beach cart broken, DVD remote missing so DVD player unusable, outdoor shower door handle fell off, cleaning supplies and washer pods missing at start of rental, grill not functioning properly 3. 3rd floor not as advertised - "bedroom with 2 twins" is NOT a bedroom, it is simply an open area with no privacy and extremely close to stairwell, no door, and severely sloped ceilings so easy to hit head at night.

Great house with lots of amenities
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and well-appointed, and the location worked well since we always go to Broadway Beach. Our biggest disappointment was that we weren't able to rebook it for next year because we didn't realize we would have to do that before we had even completed our stay. Lesson learned, I guess!

Wonderful rental, excellent hosts! We were very comfortable and hope to stay here again!
The house was spacious and well-appointed. It had everything we needed -- kitchen appliances, a large refrigerator, comfortable beds, extra blankets, and a washing machine & dryer. Everything was clean and it was obvious that the house was well-taken care of. Karen and Matt were excellent hosts. They responded very quickly to any questions we had. We very much appreciate their flexibility and consideration in refunding the pet deposit when our plans changed, and our daughter's dog was not going to be staying with us. I highly recommend the Sea Horse cottage for families! Cape May was wonderful in the off-season -- we went whale watching, visited the Washington Street Mall, a winery, strolled on the beachfront promenade and explored neighborhoods, took long walks on the beach, and enjoyed the nature trails near the lighthouse. Beautiful!

Home Away From Home
Our family just completed a wonderful stay at the Seahorse Cottage in Cape May. The cottage was a lovely place to come "home" to after spending the day either on the beach or exploring the town. It is conveniently located and a short walk to everything we wanted to do. The cottage was the perfect place for our family to enjoy time together but with enough nooks and crannies for some quiet time if someone one wanted to. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while in Cape May. We hope to be back in the near future.

Perfect West Cape May location!
This was a fabulous rental, and I would definitely recommend it. The location is perfect - an ice cream shop, liquor store, multiple bakeries, and restaurants were all just a few blocks away. The beach was an easy 10 min walk, and carts and a wagon were conveniently provided to help bring chairs & beach gear. The house was well equipped with lots of kitchen stuff for easy cooking & grilling. Lots of bikes, beach gear, etc. Everything you need! The porches are heavenly. We would definitely stay here again. Matt & Karen were very communicative every step of the way. My *only* criticism is that the mattresses could be changed out for something newer/more comfortable. But honestly, I still slept like a stone after a long day of sun & sand at the beach :)

Family week in Cape May
The front porch was a wonderful space for my elderly mom and my family to reconnect. We spent much of our time chatting and laughing, and just hanging out together! We truly enjoyed our beach week!
