Spacious 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home on Thunderbird Lake, Cape Coral, Florida. Sleeps 8 people comfortably. Only damage from Hurricane Ian was the loss of 2 trees and the pool enclosure, which all was completely restored. No damage to house, boat, pool, etc. Everything still works great, including electricity, water, WIFI, etc.

COMPLETELY RENOVATED FOR 2020 SEASON!! New for 2020 is a 3rd bathroom, with all 3 bathrooms completely renovated. We are new owners, having purchased this home in April 2019, and completed extensive renovations for the 2020 season. See the 5 star reviews under our ownership. Reviews from 2019 and prior were under previous ownership.

Our home features a beautiful infinity pool which cascades in to a salt water lake. Your rental will include the use of a 21 foot hurricane power boat with 115HP outboard motor for fantastic adventures in the lake, canals, Caloosahatchee River which leads to the Gulf of Mexico. Look for the playful dolphins chasing your wake, shy manatees, and unique Florida bird species as you enjoy the many canals and waterways. The required boat fee is stated as an extra under property fees. Full boat orientation will be provided. Boat rental in the area is around $1200, which makes the use of the boat a great value!

Cape Escape includes a large 65 inch flat screen Roku Smart TV with cable and a DVD player in the living room and another 55 inch flat screen Roku Smart TV with cable in the game room. Each of the 4 bedrooms includes a 43 inch flat screen smart TV with cable. One of the TVs includes a wireless cable box that we can be moved to the outside shelf on the lanai to view from the patio or pool. Wireless broadband internet access is also provided. The kitchen is equipped with the usual kitchen appliances, dishwasher microwave, coffee pot, and Keurig. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee while you watch the sun rise over Thunderbird Lake. Ceiling fans and central air-conditioning throughout offer a comfortable reprieve from the sun. The master suite features a huge en-suite bathroom with a huge walk in shower, double sinks, separate toilet room, and a built-in closet. Sliding doors to the lanai provide a beautiful view of the pool and lake and offer easy access to the pool for a morning swim. High chair, linens, and bath/pool towels are provided.

Our game room features an 8 foot slate pool table, along with a ping pong topper. Imagine enjoying a friendly game while overlooking the infinity pool and lake! If pool or ping pong is not your game we have a Wii console to test your skills in the video game variety. Newest addition to the game room is a 60-in-1 multicade arcade machine that plays all of your favorite arcade classics from the 80s, including Ms Pacman, Galaga, and Donkey Kong.

If the powerboat is not your speed, we also have added 4 stand up paddleboards for your use. The lakefront location is the most ideal place in Cape Coral for paddleboarding.

Great Week!
We had an amazing stay at this home over Memorial Day Weekend. The home was just as advertised and was more than enough room for the 6 of us. Check in/out was seamless and communication with the owner was quick and easy. The pool was perfect with plenty of outdoor space. We also had a few great days on the boat which was a huge bonus. Tranquil and beautiful location
Just an overall wonderful home! Loved watching the fish jump in the evening and was able to enjoy the pool everyday. The house is quite spacious! Very nice layout and lots of windows overlooking the pool and water, which was so relaxing. The neighborhood is also very quiet, which was ideal for us. Would definitely love to stay again some time!

my birthday party
time with my family is the thing I cherish the most. my daughter chose a place that was warm, had a boat and had a pool. we ate outside, swam from morning til night. we did two long days on the boat and saw dolphins and manatees as well as many birds. the kitchen is large and there were plenty of beds and bathrooms. the owner was responsive and helpful

Quiet Family Getaway
The house had everything we wanted. Kids loved the ping ping table,pool and arcade game. There were plenty of towels, beach and pool toys. Great view from the pool, especially the sunrise. Very peaceful

Fantastic Vacation
We had the best time in this lovely place! Loved the location, especially the view! The villa provided for everything we (family of 5, including small children) needed, including high chair, cod, toys...) Some of the furniture could be newer, but who cares in these beautiful surroundings. We are trying to go back next year.

Awesome vacation in Cape Coral paradise
We just returned from a week this property in beautiful Cape Coral. The house was just like it looked like online and had everything we needed for a week with family and friends. It was a great location and close to beaches and restaurants in town. We were able to go out on the boat almost every day which was the best part of our vacation. The property owner was very quick to respond to any questions or issues that we had, and we would definitely love to return and stay here again. Would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in this area.

So many great things about this property.
Thus property is “ahhhhmazing”! It has everything you need and then some - spacious, updated bathrooms, tons of entertainment for the entire family. We took the boat out and saw dolphins on one the outings. Can’t say enough great things about this rental. It exceeded our expectations!

Great Place
From many prevoious years renting in the Cape area this would be the one to come back to without hesitation. Brand new home,Great location, great views,great pool, great dock with boat, great house that is spacious enough for two families and very clean. Dealing with the owner has been very easy with prompt return to any questions and all details were truthfully described. Will easily recommend this property to our friends that rent in the Cape each year.

Wonderful Home and Location
The owner was very responsive and had nothing but the best of intentions for his guests. The boat was great and perfect for what what we wanted to to. The lake out back was great and paddle boarding was super fun. The pool was clean, warm and refreshing. The house was immaculate when we arrived and it felt like it had been very well cleaned. It was really a great trip and we did not have to leave the home to have a good time!

All you need for a spectacular vacation!
Very spacious layout inside and out. We swam, fished, boated, and relaxed. In between we had a family ping pong tournament, grilled and prepared the fish we caught for dinner. The heated pool was great to have. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet, great for walks. Captain Kelly was very friendly and helpful. Jim the owner is spot on with communication. Hope to come back again!

PERFECT WEEK IN SWFL AT THE CAPE ESCAPE
This home was perfect for my family. It was extremely clean. I was pleased with the ample quantity and quality of the linens, towels, and kitchenware. We used the boat and was happy with everything about it. Being on the lake with river access made for a very private lanai area.The pool was very warm for December. I would definitely recommend renting the property.

Fabulous stay in Cape Coral
My family and I have had a fabulous stay in Jim's place in Cape Coral. The house is in a great location and the use of the boat was brilliant, we even got to see dolphins in the water canals near to the house. Jim's communications were excellent. Jim is also in the process of upgrading the house and it will be even better. We loved the house, the location and the facilities were very good, there are condiments in the house, stuff to use round the pool, there are also chairs for the beach and a cooler. Great stay in Cape Coral!
The property was set up great for our family (parents +10yo’s). Lots of space both inside the house and outside in patio/pool area. The house has had many updates. The appliances are new, the bathrooms/showers are redone and there are big screen TVs throughout the house and entertaining areas. The pool was amazing and where we spent most of our time. The neighborhood was friendly and quiet. We were able to use the boat a few times during our stay- a short ride led us to dolphins around the boat. The owner was great to work with, answering any questions we had. This was our first time visiting Cape Coral. We loved the area and loved this property. Highly recommend!

Pure relaxation!!
We had a great time. The owner and property management was always available if we needed something. The house was spacious and clean! We loved having our own pool with the lake back drop! There were tons of fish in the lake just jumping up! We didn’t have time to use the boat but definitely will next time! The neighbor felt very safe. The house had lbeach chairs, coolers etc for the days we went to Sanibel island, lovers beach and the beach house for sunsets. We drive to Miami for two nights, only 2 hours. We also drive to Naples one day to shop and fine dine on 5th ave. It was a great trip and I would definitely rent the home again!!

Relaxing stay
My husband and I stayed here with our adult daughter at the end of May. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The home is absolutely beautiful! Everything we could have imagined was furnished. Our daughter enjoyed fishing off the dock. We also enjoyed the use of the boat (Captain Kelly was an awesome guide) and paddle boards. We were there over Memorial weekend and the lake wasn't crowded/busy at all. It was very peaceful hanging out by the pool. It rained a couple of evenings so we took advantage of the pool table, ping pong table, arcade machine, and Wii. Jim was an excellent host! He contacted me a couple of days before our stay to answer any questions we may have had and he responded right away if I had a question while we were there. I can't recommend this place enough. We would definitely stay here again!!

Nothin but rest & relaxation
My husband, myself and our 3 kids (17,19,22) stayed here on a much needed getaway. The house literally had everything we needed. The infinity pool facing the lake was fabulous! The morning and evening views of the lake were breathtaking. We did a fishing trip and a SUP trip which were only 25 minutes from the house. We loved that there was lots of restaurant, nature walks and beaches in close proximity of the house. The only thing that i didnt like was the bites from the no seeum bugs and the ants. But it is a tropical climate. We would definitely stay again. Oh, and the owner Jim was absolutely wonderful to email with!! We did take a drive to Sanibel island and Ft Meyers. The devastation from hurricane Ian was heart wrenching to see. It humbles you to see the raw power wind and rain have.

Best Family Vacation
PERFECT house for our annual family vacation. Walking in from the front door to a view of the infinity pool looking directly out onto Thunderbird Lake is stunning! The house is open but still private in the right places. The property is well maintained and very clean. Having garage access was a great convenience! The neighborhood is nice and quiet, with a few homes awaiting minor repairs from ‘Ian’ damage - mainly roofing. Being there in early August, it felt as though we had the lake all to ourselves! Captain Kelly provided our boating instructions and he was informative, thorough, and easy to talk to — he clearly loves his job! We took the boat out through the canals to open water several times during our stay, and that was an awesome bonus! It was incredibly hot, with record-breaking temperatures, but the pool was the perfect remedy!! The pool was very clean and bug-free - thanks to a couple adorable little gecko regulars hanging out on the outer screen! When we weren’t in the pool, we were inside playing “single-paddle-double” ping pong (a must-try!). We found some excellent places to eat including Masala Mantra, Keke’s Breakfast Cafe, Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille on Sanibel Island, and Rincon Cubana (doordashed). We went to Bowmans Beach on Sanibel Island and also visited Camelot Park where we saw several Burrowing Owls nests. We spent our last night taking a Sunset Dolphin Tour out of Ft. Myers. Best vacation house so far - highly recommend!!

Peaceful and Relaxing
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is very spacious, the pool is awesome, and the boat was so much fun! It was extremely quiet during this season which we didn't mind because we make our own noise and liked that we didn't worry about disturbing anyone. I was surprised with the number of homes, that we rarely saw a sole. My boys enjoyed the fishing, made some great catches and grilled them for lunch. It does take quite awhile to get out to the Gulf but we didn't mind as we enjoyed the slow stroll through the canals and taking in the beauty of all the homes. Rained almost every afternoon was a bummer but we were out early enough to avoid the storms. The only unfortunate thing that I wished I'd known... The roof leaked in my bedroom and of course, on my bed. It was my understanding the roof was being replaced the next week. Would have been nice to know ahead of time. My nephew went into the attic crawl space and placed buckets to avoid me being rained upon again. The maintenance people were very responsive to our calls. The area restaurants were delicious. We loved a little spot called Ceno Grill and then in Ft. Myers, the Lighthouse restaurant was also good. Great bruschetta. A third bathroom would have been nice. With 4 bedrooms and 12 people, it was a lot of sharing with just 2. All in all, we had a wonderful vacation. Bonus: We did see dolphins and 2 manatee!

Perfect Getaway!
Property was excellent for 2 adults and 6 teen girls! Pool and patio were beautiful. Beautiful view. Boat was great and so much fun to go watch dolphins or just take a canal/lake cruise. Close to Sanibel and Fort Myers beaches. Great game room area for all!
