Beautifully restored and maintained spacious victorian. Our room was very comfortable with a private bath. Breakfast was a hearty gourmet delight prepared by Kathy, the owner. Plenty of off street parking. Didn't use the pool, patio or backyard but loved the front and back porches. Especially the front porch with a glass of wine, cheese and crackers in the afternoon. Close to the beach, shopping and restaurants.

Comfort and Cozy a must stay.
I stumbled on Alyssa House by accident while looking for a nice place to stay in Cape Charles for two nights. After reading some of the positive reviews I went ahead and book the room. That was the BEST decision I made. Kathy Glaser is one of the nicest Innkeeper you will find and her attention to details is amazing. The rooms are comfortable, each with their own bath with plush towels and soft sheets. Relax inside or sit on the back or front porch under the fans. Take a splash in the pool or hot tub. Kathy even has pool towels sitting by the door for you. To top it all off, Kathy makes a great breakfast for two or nine that stay at the inn. Everything is fresh and homemade. She is very accommodating. You will feel right at home and won't want to leave. I will certainly come back when visiting Cape Charles again. Thank you, Kathy, for a great stay and we wish you all the luck with the B&B.

Kathy is a fantastic host who made our weekend stay at the Alyssa House very enjoyable. Breakfast each morning was wonderful. And our bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing! Would definitely stay here again.

Great place to take in Cape Charles
The B&B was very clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were awesome. Easy walking distance to all of the Cape Charles attractions. Owner was very hospitable, easy to talk to and friendly. Definitely plan to return.

Alyssa house was everything a great B&B should be. The house is stylish while being nostalgic. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. When we come back to the Eastern Shore this is where we'll stay.

2017 Cookie Trail with the girls!
Myself and two friends stayed at the inn during the Cookie Trail weekend in Cape Charles. Kathy did a fabulous job decorating each themed room. The details were spectacular and we enjoyed looking at each room, imagining future world travels! Kathy was the perfect host, wonderful chef, and definitely made sure we had everything we needed. Can't wait to visit again!

1st time at a B&B
I wasn't sure what to expect since I had never stayed in a bed and breakfast before. Kathy was great and the house was amazing. It was beautifully decorated for the holidays and each room had a theme. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and very clean. Breakfast was amazing, fresh and filling. Will definitely be back!!

Charming B&B
I purchased a weekend getaway for my daughter's 18th birthday. She and her friend had a lovely time. They thought the African room decor was great and said the place was wonderful and that the owner's breakfast was incredibly delicious. The town of Cape Charles is a nice little historic town where they had fun at the Lemon Tree Gallery. Their only complaint, which has nothing to do with the accommodations was that there was a lack of moderately priced restaurants in the area for lunch or dinner.

Perfect weekend getaway
Places like this are hard to find. Kathy is a wonderful host. The Asian room was spotless. Decorating style depicted the innkeeper's travel to the Orient. Breakfast delicious and served immediately. Raved about the locally-made soaps. Short walk to the beach. Not crowded; very peaceful. There was a full moon on Labor Day. We walked to the end of the pier to watch fish splashing around under the lights. Crabs everywhere. If you love small towns, beautiful beaches, friendly people, this place is for you!

My stay at The Alyssa House exceeded my expectations. The owner,Kathy, gave me a personal tour of where to find sea glass just because I asked! The owner also let me watch her make the signature lavender and lemon scones that I loved! The decor is unique and speaks of her travels from all over the world. I will stay here whenever I return to beautiful Cape Charles. The pool is refreshing!
