About this property

Entire place

Cozy Tiny Home in the Hills

Quiet Hill Country retreat with great views all around. Accommodates a max of 4 adults or 5 guests including kids. Located only minutes away from all the Texas Hill Country attractions: Wimberley shopping and restaurants, river floating, Canyon Lake boating/jetskis, swimming and hiking at Jacob’s Well, Blue Hole park, zip line adventure, local vineyard and winery tours, music and dancing in Gruene. Come stay at this special location and the hill country will be your oyster!

The entire tiny house, the firepit and grill for exclusive use of the tiny house guests. This includes the yard all around the house (rectangle) marked by the tiny rockwall in the front, the string lines along the sides, and the wire fence in the back.
Guests may also park their vehicles and enjoy the parking area in front of the tiny rock wall for some competitive bocce terrain. The only shared area with the other house on the property will be the entrance gate area.

There are 2 neighboring ranch homes within partial view from the space. The one across the road is over 100ft away and the other about 200ft. The residents understand it is a STR and will respect your privacy. There are a decent amount of trees and shrubs blocking their views as well as patio curtains that guests are encouraged to make use of for additional privacy.

There is about a mile of unpaved gravel easement road that guests will need to drive through to get to the space (check included picture). Some may not like it but it does provide an authentic country experience. It is also great for walking (or jogging) for all the outdoorsy and fit people out there, where fantastic hilltop views of Canyon Lake can be seen.

Simple cabin out under the stars
Cute little cottage and perfect for a couple or with small children with the loft! It was clean and well maintained. Super helpful having hooks and plenty of towel racks in the bathroom. The queen bed downstairs is very comfortable and there were only 2 of us so we didn’t use the upstairs bed.

Relaxing getaway
Needed some time away from the city life to spend quality time with the family. Kids loved the tiny cabin experience. We enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit under the stars. Thank you for the great experience!

Needs some love and attention!
Property needs a good deep cleaning. Microwave, oven, ceiling fan all need major attention as well as all the cobwebs on the side of the toilet don’t look like they’ve been cleaned in a very long time. Found all the cabinets to be very unorganized like things were just thrown in. Arrived with lots of food in the fridge and freezer. Manager said it’s left for others to share but I’m not sure who would use an open bottle of orange juice, a topless can I of redo-whip, opened stick of butter, etc. The road to get to property off the highway could stand a good grating also.

Family get away
Would stay here again. Definitely need a DEEP cleaning ( the spots that are often forgotten) the walls, trims on the floor, the ac units were pretty dusty, and may want to watch the one in the kitchen looks like it may have been leaking at some times and is warping the tops of the cabinets. The WiFi was very slow only YouTube would load and would lag for an hour until it finally worked well. I have no idea how to work the direct tv couldn’t find the kids channel so we just gave up and went to YouTube. But the home is nice and cozy and would still stay here again. The road is very back road mountainy but that’s what we wanted ! If u have a low car wouldn’t recommend but it would make it lol. All in all, a deep cleaning every now and then, clean out other people’s food that they left (half eaten ice cream pints ) and better WiFi, this place would be top notch !

Great deal
This cute house was a great deal. In a central location to Canyon Lake and Wimberley. We spent a day in Driftwood at the local wineries. Make sure you locate the house during the daylight hours because it is a little dark on the dirt roads. The only downside was the view of the trailer across the front porch. Their yard had a lot of junk to look at.

Great secluded location
We loved our stay here! Typically we go to New Braunfels & stay on that side. Canyon Lake was great & so much easier going than NB. The house was very clean, great AC, & the check in/out was super super simple! There was just about anything you would need to cook with. We loved how out in the middle of nowhere the location is & still had cell service. It is SO quiet!! You’re only about a 15 minute drive to the horseshoe. We will try to stay here again next time we come to float the River. If you drive a small car you may want to look at the reviews about the road. It wasn’t bad to me, compared to our private road this was an easy climb. However if I had small 2wd car maybe I would feel differently lol! It is a dirt road with quite a few pot holes & windy hills. I actually really enjoyed driving it lol!

Music festival weekend
The tiny house was just perfect for two old friends attending a nearby music festival. The house was clean and perfectly sized. The dining table turned out to be just the ticket for games when we weren’t at the festival. Dave graciously helped with a lockbox problem (totally my error). It was a good trip!

Secluded Cabin
Great little house! Kids loved the loft bedroom. It's a small space, as described, but worked well for us. Loved the remoteness, but wasn't able to capitalize on it for stargazing, due to weather. Great price and notes from owners were clear and easy to follow.

Great Getaway
The coziest getaway. Very close to Canyon Lake and less than 15 minutes away from civilization, stores, restaurants. We loved every minute of our stay. Everything was as described. Do bring your own toiletries as they only supply you with whatever others leave. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap are all open containers from previous guests. Cons: The shower floods right away. Also, bring your own firewood as they only have brush piles, and they burn out super fast. All the windows were unlocked; Just make sure the windows are locked as soon as you get there. We appreciated this reset so much. Stargazing was my fave.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! It was quiet and peaceful, and felt secure. There were a few minor issues - we had left a box of pastries on the kitchen counter and soon ants had found their way in from behind the kitchen sink to try to steal the pastries! We simply put the pastries in the fridge instead and the ants left us alone. Another thing, of which isn’t the owner's fault but my own for not doing more research on the location, is that the road leading up to the tiny house is extremely bumpy and uneven. It's just a rocky dirt road with a lot of twists, turns, holes, and rocks. Just a heads up for anybody with a low vehicle! There wasn't all the material and tools you'd expect, such as a spatula, but considering it's a tiny house, space is limited. There's just enough stuff to make it work! All in all, I loved staying here. I would warn other's that aren't use to staying in tiny houses to not expect everything you'd usually get from a regular sized house. Also, communication from owner was great! Specific details, and answered quickly when I had a question. Thank you for letting us stay here!
