The room was clean and the pool and jacuzzi area were very nice. A little close to the road, but no noise in the room at all. The breakfast was not great, but they had coffee, muffins, and cereal.

When we arrived at 7:20 PM to check in, there was no power to the building. No one was there, but a sign on the door saying there was a power outage from January 11-16. No one notified us, not the hotel, nor Expedia.

I found this gem a year ago and have been seriously tight lipped about it. I didn't want everyone to know. Selfish, right? Well, they're remodeling so everyone's gonna know anyways. I guess I'll be kind and fill you all in... This property it the perfect price, CHEAP!, clean & within 5 minutes of food, movie theaters or the north side of the San Fernando Valley. There...I did my good deed of the day.

Careless assignment of rooms
My wife and I arrived there and ended up canceling our room reservation. This was because when we went to our assigned room and opened the door, a startled, partially-dressed woman was inside the room. It was enough for us to decide we needed to go somewhere else. What happened was bad enough, but I shudder when I think of the other possible outcomes.
