A beautifully renovated and charming former Georgian worker's cottage retaining many original features and in the heart of the city of Canterbury. It sleeps 4 in delightful double and twin bedrooms and has been tastefully furnished to a high standard. The cottage has the added bonus of its own parking and leafy courtyard garden and Westgate Garden with it's riverside walks opposite.  There is no end to the range of activities available from this great location, from the city's wide choice of restaurants, majestic Canterbury Cathedral, the Marlowe Theatre, a diverse shopping experience and the historic atmosphere the beautiful buildings generate.  Boating and fishing on the Great Stour River which runs through the centre of Canterbury, cycle paths and walking within the city walls and gardens is a must.  There are many quintessential Kent villages surrounding Canterbury, perfect for a wander and afternoon tea, visiting vineyards, or lunch in an old 16th Century pub.  Shop: 0.1 miles: Pub: 0.1 miles: Coast: 7 miles.

Excellent Location

We loved our stay in the cottage which was just steps away from High Street. The Host was OUTSTANDING with communication and left us a lovely Starter package of items including a wonderful bottle of wine and box of chocolates. The Dedicated Parking Space was the Star Feature for us during this stay. No worries at. all. All was great, however, not advisable for travelers with mobility issues. The staircase is very narrow and steep leading to both bedrooms on second floor. Bathroom is on bottom floor which is very spacious and complete but not so convenient for middle of the night bathroom breaks. We are just old but others may need to be aware. Kitchen was wonderful to have and is complete. The restaurants on High Street were wonderful. Train station to go into London was a short 10 minute walk which was very handy. Driving was easy to nearby Dover, Ramsgate, Walmer Castle.... perhaps 30 minutes along beautiful country roads. We had a lovely, charming stay in Canterbury. Thank you!!
