"Front desk clerk MARIA went ABOVE and BEYOND to help us during this stay. I booked this room for my husband and son last minute due to snow and dangerous travel conditions to come back home that evening after they got out of work in Los Alamos so I paid for this room with my card and their policy is to have the card present that room was purchsed with, so of course they did not have my card. Maria allowed my husband in the room and allowed him to get warm after shoveling snow since 4:30 AM and it was now 1PM. She was able to call her supervisor and emailed me a form to authorize them to use my card without me or the card being present. I was very thakful for her generosity because she could ha e refused to let him get i to the room u til that whole process was completed but she has a big heart and she treated us with kindness and understanding. So i want to let this place of business know that she is worthbevery penny and should probably be given a raise because she is one in a million! Thabk you Maria. "

"Abiqui, NM is a stunningly beautiful area - and the Viento del Rio is, too. Situated on the Chama River, the casita has just about everything one would need for a perfect getaway. Sitting by the fire - either inside or out - is the epitome of relaxing. And the stars at night - one almost feels like you can reach out and touch them. "

"The cabin is wonderful, very comfortable, easy to live in, and there are thoughtful touches everywhere. It’s the perfect place to stay for access to Bandelier National Monument, the Valles Caldera, Jemez Springs and more!"

"Amazing place to vacation if you want to get away from cities! There were some hiccups at check-in but the owner was very communicative and we were able to resolve the issue. The location is quite remote so you need to cook all your meals, but the kitchen is really well-equipped, and we had everything we needed. Be aware that the fireplace is the only heating source of the house. We visited in mid-October so it was not an issue, especially with the thick comforter and extra blankets they provide. But I can see it getting cold during the winter months. Overall great experience! I would stay there again, especially given its mid-point location between Santa Fe and Chaco. "
