Camping in the Pines, Peaceful Secluded Getaway near Canon City, CO

Want to get back into nature where Mule deer and a variety of birds make frequent appearances? Camping in the Pines is just the spot. This RV is fully equipped with electric, hot water, heat/A/C, and all the necessities for a weekend getaway where you can hear nothing but the wind through the pine trees. Want to go see some sites? No problem. Situated about 30 minutes from Canon City, you can go see the Royal Gorge Bridge, hike Tunnel Drive Trail, drive Skyline Drive and explore all Canon City has to offer and lay your head to rest in our RV. Being at 8k feet elevation we experience cooler temperatures during the Summer. Enjoy the day down by the Arkansas River and lounge out in the cool breeze in the pine trees at night. Speaking of night, with little to no light pollution the stars out here are amazing! We're also about an hour away from Westcliffe, known for their dark sky community and impressive Sangre De Christo Mountains.

Just what we needed
This property was so quiet and peaceful. We are a family of 6 and we fit very nicely. My son wanted to sleep in his tent outside the first night, and came inside the second night - still fit us all without crowding. Very friendly host family. Would highly recommend.

Big horn rafting
Came up from New Mexico to go rafting. And stayed at this beautiful location. Explored around the area a little bit and just took in the view of the mountains and trees and then the stars at night.
