"Giuseppe is a wonderful man, who, with his wife and son do a wonderful job of managing the property. It is about a two minute walk to the sea, and located conveniently for market, bus, and trains. This is a great, economical home base for exploring places like Amalfi, Paesrum, Rome, Naples, Pompeii and many others. We loved it."

"For the most part the apartment was clean and the bed was comfortable. The apartment has plenty of storage. The entire building is under construction and lots of dirt from the outside gets inside. The noise from the construction starting at 7-8 am on most days was very disturbing. There were days that jack hammers were used right outside the door. In addition, the traffic and people talking outside the window sometimes until 1am, made it difficult to sleep. I had to wear ear plugs to fall...

"The neighborhood was a real Italian neighborhood and not a tourist neighborhood of tiny, twisty streets and passageways. It was a bit loud all day and night with people talking very loudly. We closed the windows and used the A/C at night and it was quiet and we slept well. Our hosts communicated well and were very responsive to our requests."

"We quite enjoyed our stay at Donato's flat in Salerno. It's located right on the edge of the historic district, an easy walk to everything. The sea walk is close by, as are the cathedral and Minerva's Garden. There are many many restaurants nearby. Communication with Donato and his son, Roberto, was excellent. Roberto met us at the train station and took us directly to the flat. Now, there are some 76 stairs--we counted--to get to the fourth floor, and no elevator. It was no issue for us--part...

"Ursula took care of us for our four night stay in Salerno. The home away from home property was outstanding in terms of cleanliness, location, spaciousness, and ease of access to the Amalfi coast. Ursula gave us outstanding recommendations for pizza, pasta, ice cream and shopping. Definitely check out Casa Ragusa! Elevator in the building is a little bit small so if you’re claustrophobic, take the stairs. Parking is easy close to the apartment no more than a five minute walk."

Within a very short walk we found fabulous restaurants along narrow co3bblestone streets. The city of Salerno was very alive at night.
