My partner was hurt on the property with only being on the resort for 3 hours. The Resort never told us there was a Dr. on the property. After 24hrs. in pain and several trips & concerns about the injury, the front desk sent us to the Dr. At first they were not going to pay for the visit but with my demands for them to pay for it they did. The Resort finally fixed the area where the accident happened after a day but refused to do anything else for my friend. After many more meetings and 3 days later with the managers, they offered to send us back to the Dr. which he suggested we go to the hospital for an X-ray. That was only if we sign a paper that we wouldn’t bad talk the resort and th we release them of any wrongdoing. He refused because we were leaving the next morning and could go to an American hospital. Our issue is the resort never checked on him after the accident. They should have sent him to the Dr. immediately. Never asked if we needed a wheelchair, room service for food etc. because the injury was his foot. He couldn’t go in the pool, to the beach or anywhere because the resort was of no help. They did offer to pay for a dinner(food was included in the package) or a free ride to the airport. What an insult. What can Expedia do about this?
