This property is somewhat misrepresented online. The rooms are not nearly as well-lit or well-equipped as they appear in the images provided here. The rooms are darker, the furniture and appliances (e.g. mini fridge) quite old. The restaurant quality is extremely sub-par. The coffee served at breakfast was so astringent it smelled like rubbing alochol and made us sick.
Additionally, Expedia listed a Studio suite for 2 people with an ocean view, and charged extra for the ocean view. While we realize that is a request, the resort notified us at check in that they dont have any rooms at all for 2 people with an ocean view. All the ocean view rooms are larger. Expedia essentially charged extra for something the property doesn't offer.
The staff are not particularly friendly either, often appearing annoyed or bothered to have to help a guest. We requested fresh towels that never came, and drink service by the beach is incredibly slow. Wait waited over 20 minutes between being acknowledged by staff and someone coming to take our order - we thought they forgot about us.
This property is clearly very old and in need of renovations. Sliding doors in our room were warped and did not slide easily. The shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor, despite it being a dedicated space in the bathroom. The windows in the room did not latch properly. The rooms only have a handle lock, and no secondary chain or deadbolt.
Overall, the experience was pretty bad.
