"We had higher expectations - and I don’t mean luxury. This is a very basic property, lacking many amenities you’d expect in a 3* star rated property (e.g. tea making facilities in the room) and maintained with little attention to detail. "Fabulous location and a fascinating building - highly recommend the little tour that you can take to learn about the history. The pool is lovely, as is the walking in the countryside around the abbey - other than that there's not a lot to do other than soak up the atmosphere. We stayed for two dinners and one lunch. "Un baglio (cascinale, masseria) originale restaurato in piena campagna dietro il parco di Segesta: strada difficile da percorrere in caso di pioggia o con macchina dall'assetto basso (l'ideale per un SUV o fuoristrada), camera spartana, tranquilla e fresca, ma con bagno senza bidet e piccole finestre senza oscuramenti, cibo buono non troppo economico, servizio ottimo (personalizzato direi), colazione spartana ma accettabile."

"Well, we arrived at 730pm.. no one around? We called and he had said he just left? So, basically the property was unattended? He claimed he waited til 7 .. I hadn't confirmed any time as there was no communication available through vrbo. Quite the sad experience.."

"There was no at the reception desk. The property manager accused me of lying about my kids because there were 2 single beds joined but we were 3 people. My daughter had to sleep in the middle of the 2 beds . The pillows were uncomfortable . There was 1roll of toilet paper. I had to go buy my own. I had no internet service. The kitchen was somewhat clean but you could see their storage room that was messy Nd made kitchen aesthetically unappealing. The night table and desk shelf was dusty ."

"The place is clean BUT, all the necessities that you needed is not provided, no soap, toilet paper, dishwasher soap, paper towel etc. Pool is close at 8pm, what the heck your on vacation and after a long day outside you want to relax on the pool but it is close. And one more thing no air conditioning, you have to pay 5euro/day. All of these should have provided with no extra cost. "

Brilliant service, near airport

"Booked this hotel for its close proximity to the Palermo Airport as I had a very early 05.45 flight and did not wish a long commute. This property was excelent. The manager was fantastic and got up and drove me to the airport himself at 3.00 am . He offered us pizza and salad roomservice but ewe went out. The room was lovely despite some used toiletry wrapper in the shower from the prevvious guest. Lovely bed , lounging and reading area . I am sure the breakfast looked and sounded good but unfortunately I missed it due to an early check out. I highly recommend walking around and going for a drink or eating in the small village wher the hotel is. Great history and memorial to anti Mafia efforts. A great bakey Palazzolo, best Canolis, coffee and desserts, all home made. Voglia di pizza , great pizza cafe, outside seating , local pizza variation with anchovies amazing."
