"Charming hosts. Best to have some words of Italian or at least functioning Google Translate for your visit; Elena also speaks French which was helpful! Old-fashioned and pleasant stone rooms at a good price, lovely views and ability to have breakfast/lunch/dinner on the premises, very good local cuisine. Ideally you would come with your own car as exploring locally by foot is not really an option, too remote. But in a car, great!"

"We had higher expectations - and I don’t mean luxury. This is a very basic property, lacking many amenities you’d expect in a 3* star rated property (e.g. tea making facilities in the room) and maintained with little attention to detail. We had two dinners in their restaurant, no menu or prices, you find out the bill at check out and let me tell you it’s MUCH higher than we had anticipated for the quality and service received. "This is a very nice hotel, it’s modern and a short walk to marina and beach. We stayed in the apartment, it was nicely decorated with a small kitchen. It has a beautiful pool, which is rare for a hotel in the town of Castellammare. There is no breakfast included or a coffee. You can buy coffee pods for your coffee maker to use in your room. "

"We were delighted with our choice of Marina Di Petrolo. The hotel is bright, smart and very clean. Our family room for my wife, daughter and I was a very good size, nicely decorated and smart. The staff were so nice and friendly at all times, and were always willing to help. We were grateful for the wonderful room cleaning staff who tidied and cleaned our rooms every day. There was an excellent Italian breakfast option every day, including freshly-made coffee of your choice. The location is not completely central but all the main areas of the town are easily accessible by foot, which is better to do anyway! Nevertheless there's a spectacular view of the bay from both the breakfast room and our own room. We didn't use the swimming pool because it was winter, but it looked nice. It would have been nice to have had the option to have meals other than breakfast, but it wasn't difficult to find other places around town (including a terrific pizza delivery place directly opposite!). We would love to come back to Sicily and if we are in this part of the island, Marina di Petrolo will be a definite place to revisit."

Friendly comfortable hotel

"The hotel had a spacious clean warm room with a fridge, a small table and chairs too. Also a big shower room and toilet. We loved it. Also we were picked up at the airport after dropping off the hire car, and taken back to departures at 4.00 am the next morning. How wonderful. I hope to go back"
