"We had an incredible surprise when we arrived at 9pm after a long day driving from Rome. Rosalia is a wonderful hostess! She welcomed us so well even though we booked with a little less than 2 hours notice. The room is spotless clean and recently renovated. Bathroom has basic toiletries and even a hair dryer. "The language barrier was definitely an issue. We were greeted in the street by the off-site host who was upset that we were planning to check out early even though we said we were paying for the extra night and despite the fact that we had emailed June 22nd that we had to shorten our stay. This is not a typical B & B. It consists of 4 rooms and a shared kitchenette on the same floor as 2 private apartments in a multi-story building above the pedestrian area. No blow dryer or iron is provided....

"I can't explain the feeling we had staying in such a historic and well preserved castle. It was exquisite! It was like staying in a museum but much more comfortable. I really wish I could have taken the tour given by the owner. Next time, I will. There isn't a bar or restaurant at this time. I am not sure why they are shown as amenities. There was only one place in town that we found open on Sunday with limited hours for coffee and pizza. We had trouble finding dinner. The town is beautiful...
