Overall, very nice day in a beautiful Lakeside property.
I give this rental a five stars overall. The property contact was very responsive. The location so close to the lake is just perfect. Great for a girls weekend away. Only constructive feedback. Is there a couple of things that should be repaired on the property, such as a cracked sink, But nothing that overall affected the functionality of the rental for us. Neighbors were very quiet and we would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing Fishing Trip
This property is comfortable, peaceful, and updated. It has the term of an older home with a conveniences of updated interior. I went with one friend and we fished for four days off the pier. No boat. We caught fish every day and many of them keepers. I love this Vacation!

Cambrige vacation on the lake
Enjoyed time there, weather was beautiful. Views were nice and enjoyed the gazebo. Being older, the pier was not in the best condition for us. Being close to the lake was what we wanted. Enjoyed the stay.

Nice lakefronthouse for late summer stay for 3 adults & 2 dogs
Enjoyed relaxing in screened gazebo and on deck and view of sunsets on the lake. Some probs with smoke detector and no propane for gas grill but owner responded quickly to replace tank so overall it was a great spot.for our 3 day vacation. Son in law even did some fishing and kayaked. He mentioned that ,if we came again, he would bring his boat as there is a launch at end of the road.

Short and sweet
We visited for a short stay for a business team meeting. It was nice to spend the morning and evening on the dock. Beds were comfortable and the home was exactly what we expected and needed. The only small issue was that the water pressure was low.

Calming Stay with a Beautiful View
My wife and I were very happy with our stay at the Lake Ripley House. It was so calming to view the lake from the main living area and with just a few steps outside to be on the lake itself. The shallow water around the pier is perfect for swimming or just simple wading in the sunshine. The house has all the amenities for a fulfilling weekend or weekday getaway. we hope to stay at the lakehouse again!

The Lake is Great!
This lake house is as described--right on the water, and in good weather it would be fantastic. It's kitchen is very well equipped and the large bottle of water is a bonus for making coffee and drinking water. Like many rural homes, it's no doubt on well water with a high sulphuric content....smells but is harmless. Thank you to the owner for providing the big water dispenser. We used it!! There are many oddly conflicting rules regarding what to do with the laundry as you leave. We just chose one -- and stripped the sheets off the used beds and left them in the laundry room. This was a nice getaway and the area is close to little towns, and road houses for meals, and Madison is extremely close....like a 1/2 hour away. The only downside for us was the TV....we were trying to watch details of Hurricane Ian so it was frustrating. TV-Plus just kept buffering and play time amounted to stints of 3-20 minutes. There was no consistency. We never could access Dish which was part of the setup, but there were no directions for use. Netflix was accessible but buffered constantly too. Perhaps this was all due to very high winds for the first few days we stayed. It's something to check with the owner about if you plan to watch any television. All in all a comfortable and lovely setting and set-up. Beds are all very comfortable, and it would be perfect for a larger family. With just two of us, we had oodles of space. Because it was cold and windy we didn't ever use the outdoor screened space which would have been a great spot in mid-summer. In late September we instead sat wrapped up on the dock and enjoyed the setting sun. Thank you Jason and Natasha for your island vibe home on the lake.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lake Ripley home! We were very fortunate to have beautiful weather that allowed us to BBQ and enjoy the sunsets while having dinner in the screened in gazebo! We also enjoyed taking our kayaks out on the lake as well!

BEWARE - love the town, not this house
Rented this property for two weeks. The good- house was clean and well stocked. Clean linens, comfy beds. Beautiful views, especially the sunsets. Very peaceful and it wasn’t crowded on the lake. The weekends were a little more crowded, but manageable even with tubing or other motor sport activities. PROBLEMS - lake is indeed very weedy, more weedy than other WI and MI lakes we have visited. There are 3 beds, but it’s really a 2-bedroom. It wasn’t an issue for us, but I know it could be a concern for others. The 3rd bedroom is an open loft immediately at top of stairs. Air condition did not work that great upstairs, but they had fans. MAIN problem we had was the rotten egg (sulfur smell) that happened any time we turned on the water, whether it was to wash hands or dishes, brush teeth or take a shower, the rotten egg smell from the water was very intense. We thought it would get better after a few days, but it did not. Caused eye burning and most of us didn't want to take showers or use water. I did reach out to the owner who suggested we turn up the hot water. However, for safety reasons, we decided against it since hot water was already very hot and didn’t think it would help as the smell was happening even with cold water. With this being an issue, make sure bring lots of drinking water to also use for brushing teeth. Owner also mentioned that they were getting a new well hookup in two weeks, which is great for those who rent after the problem is hopefully resolved, BUT, this is admitting he knew there was a water issue and it is problematic enough to need to fix…so, perhaps you should not be renting out your property until problems are fixed. We were also inconvenienced, by not being able to do laundry. As I mentioned, we rented this home for two weeks and this was a major inconvenience. There is a washer and dryer there, but they recommend not using them as they can’t guarantee clothes won’t be ruined from the high iron content. This should have been noted prior to renting it out, especially for two weeks! One more thing to note is that this home says it sleeps 10…beware of this. Not sure where 10 people would sleep, maybe 6-7 people max. Please note rental is for 4 people and you will pay for extra persons. I had to pay for our 5th person for the entire stay even though they weren’t even staying for half of the time. I did know this prior to paying, but it seems a little shady and unnecessary to me. Found owner to be rude and dishonest.

Perfect for a quiet getaway
We were looking for a quiet place to rest and recharge with our family and this was perfect! We cooked meals together, played games, watched movies, and our 11 year old loved kayaking, fishing and even swimming (Brrrr - in October) off the dock. The kitchen was well appointed for cooking meals and the couch and TV set up was comfortable for the whole family. We loved having access to Netflix, Disney, etc for inclement weather. We visited Schuster’s Farm for the corn maze, petting zoo and SO many fun activities for the kids (highly recommend!) and Madison was a quick 30 minute drive for restaurants and shopping. It was the best of both worlds, quiet, country retreat and access to bigger city amenities.

Beautiful house on a lovely lake.
The property was a wonderful getaway retreat. Perfectly located on a beautiful lake and yes, the sunsets were magnificent. We were there in autumn so we took advantage of some quiet kayaking among a group of gulls. It's near some amazing hiking spots if you like to explore. The house itself is cozy but modern - we were very comfortable. It's a great place to stay!
