"Covelo-Original is exactly what a small guesthouse should be. Our stay was perfect. The Covelo is in the heart of old town and steps away from restaurants and just over the bridge is the religious centre. The room had everything needed (fridge, kettle, coffeemaker, all of which aren’t common in a POR room). "The rooms had an amazing view and the grounds were quite expansive and lovely. Ingrid and her husband made me feel so welcome, it added a personal touch to my stay. I noticed that there were many return guests, and I understand why. I hope to return some day too. It was a beautiful area to walk with my dog. And, the hotel is close to the city of Guimarães, which is an excellent day trip. It was a very relaxing stay, everything about it was perfect. "

"We were provided a home like atmosphere. The staff were laser focus on providing guests the very best experience. We often heard, “we’re here for you”. They certainly live up to that statement, specifically, Claudia, Barbara, and Patricia. The breakfast ingredients were fresh every day. "This guy needs to communicate with guests better. I requested how to get in the day before, then twice the morning of my arrival. I didn't hear from him until 2:30 pm and check in was at 3. I was in Braga at that point and had to go wait in a cafe until I got his email. (It was raining) When I showed up at the place, a couple was outside trying to get in. Then later, after I returned around 8 pm, another couple was outside who couldn't get in. I let them in."

"The staff and service is excellent. The individual rooms are a distance away from the lobby/restaurant, which I didn’t like so much. That, however, is secondary to the excellent staff and the large comfortable rooms. The wine tasting was extremely well done."
