"Nice friendly pub to the west of Huddersfield. Only have 5? rooms to let but very clean with bath as well as a shower (nice to have the option). Good selection of of beers, great staff and food available (even though I didn't get time to eat there). A Co-op supermarket and chippy across the road and other takeaways within a stones throw. A bus stop is directly outside for regular services into town or out to Slaithwaite, Halifax etc.(across the road), but beware that nothing runs much after 11pm...

"The room was modern and spotlessly clean, although compact; kettle, beverages, hairdryer and ironing board provided, along with a good supply of coat hangers in the wardrobe. Very comfortable bed and an excellent shower. A slight downside was that the rear access (fire escape) and kitchen extractor system were right outside our window, so a bit noisy in the late evening and early morning. However, this was more than compensated for by the friendly, helpful staff, who really did cheerfully...

"Breakfast was really good. Kimberley was very helpful and informative. Quick walk to town and lot of restaurants. Parking is there although a bit tight. Bed is super comfy. Shower is small so suck it in and make sure your shoulders aren’t very broad."

"Check in was quick & very professional. The carpet leading to the rooms and in the rooms is very tired and dirty. The room was a really good size with a beautiful clean bed. Bathroom is also a good size. Breakfast was cooked to order. Yoghurt & fruit would be a good choice too."
