Owner not there on arrival. Several issues to contend with;- we had no heating as no batteries in the remotes. Not all beds were made up. No wardrobe available to use in Superking room as padlocked with owners clothes! Insufficient coat hangers provided. Hob in kitchen faulty & had to be replaced. Complained several times regarding strong smell of gas when cooking. Not resolved until final week of stay! Electric’s kept failing resulting in loss of lights, heating, and hot water. Owner eventually resolved by cutting the wiring for the garden lights Ran out of hot water in first week. Insufficient hand soap,toilet rolls and towels provided on arrival. A number of light bulbs also required replacing. Had to ask for a broom to clean the floors. We bought cleaning materials, soap, toilet rolls etc before owner provided some.
The owner appears to only react to issues as they arise, rather than maintaining the property so as to ensure guests are safe, warm, and comfortable. Some issues that we regarded as serious, such as the gas and electrics took far too long to resolve. The property is marketed as “Superb”, but we felt it fell way short of this standard. Some of the furniture is very old and requires replacing. The property needs a good “makeover”, and should be maintained to a higher standard than it currently is. We had some cold nights, cold showers, constant worry with the smell of gas, lack of wardrobes, loss of electricity, etc etc.
Sadly, not a happy experience staying there, but WE LOVE SPAIN!
