"Such a great property. Definitely one of the nicest on the island. A great place to come back to after our daily adventures. The ability to open up all the windows and let the breeze in made up for the lack of air conditioning which is normal here. The space was great and the ability to walk down to the beach. The path is steep but only a short walk. The only thing I would say the house needs some improvement is to update some of the kitchen supplies, sharper knives and just some things missing, etc. As a family of five with kids we ended up eating in a lot of nights and cooking so we gave the kitchen utensils a work out Definitely check out the O and A mini mart at the end of the road at the house, they have most of your basic supplies to make a meal. Overall our stay was amazing and nothing short of an adventure! "

"This is an absolutely beautiful and special place. Our room/suite was huge inside with a nice sitting area, a gigantic bathroom and very large bedroom. Wraparound balcony. The beach faces east to the Atlantic and mostly no one is there, outrageously gorgeous. Sunrise is spectacular. The restaurant has very nice freshly made food, very thoughtfully prepared, tasty. Less local-style cuisine than we would prefer and not a super wide array of options for vegetarians staying for 5-6 days but still very enjoyable and they are very accommodating. Fantastic included breakfasts. Pool is great, small but few people using it, and very nice, clean, good temperature. The grounds are beautiful, lush green with flowers, and the sounds (birds, frogs etc) are fabulous. The river is very pretty going down to the sea. The gym is cute and we did use it. There is no AC in it and the humidity is intense to work out in but I was glad for the opportunity. This is not the place for people looking to be around populated-type activities like going out to eat, and not easily accessible to the west coast tourist attractions. It’s also not a luxury-type resort with fancy-place vibes. This is for you if you are looking for remote, quiet, reasonably-priced real nature spot that is unique and special and has a local feel to it. Clean and comfortable and incredibly peaceful with stunning natural beauty. "

"Myself and 5 other family members stayed at this location for 10 days. The view alone is enough to book the place! It is absolutely stunning. Every bedroom and the dining/living room have doors that open up to one of the two terraces. You have a prime view of Hodges bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Just along the side of the house is a trail that leads down to Hodges bay where you can swim in the bay and/or the Mamelabou River. The trail is mostly made of natural stairs so can be tough for those who are not as able bodied. We found that the beach part of the bay and the entrance of the river is rather shallow which made it very nice to relax in. There were some days that had more sargassum than others, but that’s just the ocean for ya! The house is absolutely lovely and well maintained. The owners have done a wonderful job at furnishing things for their visitors. They even provide toiletries that you wouldn’t typically receive at a hotel. Razors/shavers were provided, toothpaste tubes, bug bite relief products, towels for the beach, etc. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and dishes needed for cooking, baking, eating. The owners are very kind people, as well as, their property manager Kelvin. Kelvin was great to work with. We had a couple incidents happen (none at the fault of anyone, just normal maintenance) and Kelvin was always very helpful and ensured fixes were taken care of. Their driver, Harvey, is the best on the island, if needed! 10/10!!!!"
