This is a great holiday villa, whatever you wish to do whilst in Madeira. Located in sunny Calheta, with great views over vineyards and banana plantations to the sea, it is only a five minute drive to the beach, sea and marina, but also perfectly located for exploring the island and with easy access to the Paul da Serra plateau where you will find the best walking conditions.
The entrance leads directly to the very spacious open-plan living space with lounge and dining areas, which leads onto the long front terrace with superb panoramic views to the sea, outdoor dining facilities and sun-beds.
The large fully equipped kitchen is off the living room and opens up to the back terrace where you will find the large built-in barbecue and the separate laundry room.
The living area also leads to the large ground floor bedroom with double bed and en-suite, to the second bedroom with two children's single beds and to the family bathroom.
At the top of the stairs is a great leisure room with two sofa beds (for the 9th and 10th person), a children's desk and a stand with a selection of books and activities for children, as well as a selection of table games. The front balcony is a great place for an evening drink contemplating the wonderful views over the vineyards and banana plantations to the sea.
There are two further bedrooms (one with a double bed, the other with two single beds) on this floor, as well as a family shower room.
Overall a great spacious villa that works as well for a couples as for families, and is perfectly located to benefit from the sun and sea and as a base to explore or for walking holidays.
There are many walks around Calheta and easy access to the plateau of Paul da Serra, with its many levada walks, makes this villa perfectly located for walking in Madeira and for enjoying a lovely holiday surrounded by the beautiful Madeira countryside.

With superb panoramic sea-views and offering privacy and seclusion, surrounded by tranquil countryside, and with a small cafe/snack bar and minimarket 100 metres away, a further café and chemist only 300 metres away, Casa Vista Bela is a great base for exploring Madeira and making the most of the sun and sea.
It is only 3 Km (5 minutes by car) to the resort town of Calheta, with its man-made golden sandy beach. Here you will, find a selection of cafés, restaurants, a larger supermarket, the marina (boat trips can be arranged), banks and a chemist.
A 5-minute drive will also take you to either of the two surfing meccas of Jardim do Mar and Paul do Mar, at sea level and with trendy café-bars (try the caipirinhas and mojitos).
The expressway (500m away) provides you with easy access west to Prazeres and onwards, or up to the plateau of Paul da Serra where you will find wonderful walking conditions.
Eastwards will take you to the villages of Ponta do Sol and Ribeira Brava (10 minutes and 15 minutes respectively)
The vibrant capital, Funchal, is an easy 35-minute drive and the airport less than 50 minutes along the motorway.

Booking Notes
The rental value varies with the number of people occupying the property, so please ensure you enter the correct dates, number of adults, children and infants. Please note that supplements apply should additional people join you for any length of time.
To secure your reservation, a deposit of 30% is required, or the full amount if within 8 weeks or arrival. Should you cancel up to 8 weeks prior to arrival only the deposit is non-refundable, and within this period the full amount.
Final details for check-in and driving instructions to the property will be sent 7 days prior to arrival. A contact number will be provided, and to be able to access the property, you need to phone this number as you are leaving the airport. It is your responsibility to contact and advise the number provided on the check-in details to advise any delays to the expected check-in time.
Check-in times - at the property - are between 16H00 and 19H00. For Sunday arrivals and out of hours check-in, alternative arrangements will be made and an additional cost will apply.
Check-in and check-out flexibility will be applied where possible, but this will depend on housekeeping schedules and the departure and arrival days of other reservations either side of your stay; a definitive answer can only be provided within 24 hours of your arrival for check-in and your departure for check-out.
A security deposit of 100€ is required in cash at check-in.

If you have a car and are driving to your villa or apartment, please follow these instructions. Using GPS will take you via old and less easy roads and unusual locations:
Leaving the airport take the motorway (Via Rápida) West in the direction of Funchal and after this to Ribeira Brava. Travel for 34. Km.
When you reach the end of the motorway (approximately 35 minutes) keep on the right hand lane and follow the signs to Ribeira Brava – Ponta do Sol.
The slip road will lead you to a roundabout. Take the first exit to Ribeira Brava and drive towards the sea for 1,4Km. You will reach another roundabout. Take the 1st exit into the tunnel and you will now carry on for 3,9Km until you reach the roundabout of Ponta do Sol.
At the end of the tunnel you will reach another roundabout; take the 2nd exit , signposted Ponta do Sol and drive through another tunnel. At the end, carry on along the coastal road and you will enter another tunnel. At the end, carry on along the coastal road and you will enter another tunnel.
At the end of this tunnel you will come to the roundabout of Ponta do Sol; on the left you will find a petrol station and mini market. Take the 2nd exit into the next tunnel and drive for 2,8Km.
At the end of the tunnel, at the roundabout, turn sharp right into the next tunnel (signposted Calheta).
At the roundabout (1,6Km), take the first turn-off, signposted to Calheta, drive through the next tunnel for 1,8Km.
Reaching the next roundabout, take the second exit following signs to Calheta and through another tunnel until you reach the Calheta roundabout (2,5Km).
Go straight across (2nd exit), signposted Prazeres (don’t turn left into Calheta) and enter a further tunnel, driving for 2,3Km.
