Rustic Cozy Cabin with hot tub

Love camping but not hassle? Take a step back in time to when life was simple. Book your stay in our little rustic cabin surrounded by trees and fields of moss located in Wintergreen, Bragg Creek. We have all the amenities to turn your camping stay into glamping. Head out to the river, eat at the local restaurants, bike, hike, enjoy wildlife, enjoy our collection of games/VHS, huddle with your pets and relax in the private hot tub! The cabin is heated by the wood stove, pls, bring firewood.

Relax in our hot tub or enjoy some vintage VHS's by the cozy fireplace. See the stars through the canopy of trees and enjoy the quietness of Bragg Creek.

Then wake up and roast some coffee.

Everything a great camping trip has to offer with half the hassle!

This tiny house was hand-built in the early 1980s by Bob, the first owner of this property, as a little escape for himself. He filled in the cabin with lots of VHS, books, vinyl records, board games and other cute items that create a unique cozy atmosphere. We keep everything untouched for you to enjoy that retro vibe.

Bedroom: You will sleep on a double bed with a warm goose-down blanket. There is a sofa-bed in the living room which can be used as a double bed. We provide bedding and pillows/blankets. The cabin fits the best 2-3 guests.

Heating: The cabin is heated by a small rustic woodstove, you will need to feed regularly during the cold season. Please bring your own wood, which is already chopped and seasoned. We provide an axe and a lighter. You may also want to bring a fire starter and/or kindling. There are 2 oil radiators beside the stove. Don't worry, our guests don't freeze even at -40C as the cabin is well insulated.

Kitchen: There is a small kitchen equipped with a microwave, toaster oven, kettle, electric plate, fridge, drip coffee maker and all sorts of dishes/cutlery. There is no running water in the cabin, but we provide a water dispenser and you can use tap water from the bathroom. There is a propane BBQ with a side burner and an outdoor fire pit for your delicious stakes and hot dogs.

Washroom: We keep the full bathroom on the 1st floor of the main house exclusively for our cabin guests. This bathroom is located 30 steps away from the cabin, right next to the hot tub, it has a separate entrance and you can use it anytime you need. The bathroom is brand new, beautifully designed and has a large double shower.

Hot tub: the hot tub is new and large, covered by the gazebo and surrounded by pine trees. We control the water chemical balance on a daily basis. We provide towels, spa slippers, bathrobes and a hairdryer. We kindly ask you to take shower before getting into the spa. The hot tub is not shared and kept private for you, however, it is located close to the host's house. We have installed privacy screens to enhance your privacy.

Pets: your cute pups are more than welcome!

Rest easy knowing quiet hours on the property are strictly observed 10 pm-8 am

The Rustic Cozy Cabin sits on the same property as your host's house and the Shanti Yurt (additional private guest space). Both the Cabin and the Yurt have exclusive access to their own designated outdoor areas and designated bathrooms.

There are both private/exclusive and communal outdoor areas. These designated areas will be shown to you upon arrival.

The cabin is available for self-check-in after 4 p.m.

Please note that the cabin is located on the land with your hosts’ house and one more rental - Shanti Yurt. We are usually around, doing some maintenance work on the property. In case you need anything, don't hesitate to reach out to me anytime.

-As we are located in the forest there is no cell reception. As of September 2022, we have got decent wifi (Starlink), most cell operators allow you to activate the “wifi calling” function on your phone and you will be able to have regular voice calls and txt.

Upon booking the Rustic Cozy cabin you agree to the following house rules:
1. No parties and no loud music outside at any time. The Rocky View County noise curfew is from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. No visitors.
2. No smoking indoors and absolutely no use of illegal substances.
3. Dogs must be kept under control as the property is not fenced and guests in the Shanti Yurt may also have dogs. Please, be ready to keep your dog on a leash or use an invisible fence collar to set up a perimeter for your pet. Please pick up after your pet. Keep your dogs indoors at night as we have cougars in the area. Guests are expected and advised to bring their dog's beds and bowls. If you come with a dog, add it to your reservation. The pet fee is 35$.
4. Check with us if there is no fire ban in the area. Igniting fire during the fireban is subject to a 1,000$ fee by the Rocky View County.
5. Please indicate the correct number of guests arriving and if you need extra bedding for the sofa bed. The base booking price includes 2 guests.
6. Please respect check-in and check-out times.
7. Please provide your eta and notify us that you have checked out.
8. Please shower before getting into the hot tub and wear a swimming suit.
9. Don't leave food or garbage outside to avoid attracting wildlife.
