You do get what you pay for. Our room was quite cold when we got into it. We called to the front desk to let them know our heat wasn't working in our room. No thermostat in the room. We were provided a little space heater which we had to Mcgiver to make work. It did quit during the night. Yes we could have called down again and gotten extra blankets (quote from front desk attendant on checkout) yes we could have and SHOULD have asked for another room. But didn't. Hotels should have working heat in the winter. Bed also had hair on the pillowcase. Ick.

The toilet looked like it had not been scrubbed from the last guest. There were black spots in the bowl. The room was very hot with no way to bring down the temp but to turn on the Ac. Then it got too cold.

Staff were very accommodating to our needs. The great customer service from front desk staff to cleaning staff made up for any minor shortcomings of an older hotel. Having a microwave and fridge in the room plus coffee was very much appreciated.
