"We would definitely recommend Lion Sand’s River Lodge! We came here for our honeymoon and this was the most special holiday of our lives. We stayed in the River Suite, which was beautiful, as was the rest of the hotel. The service was fantastic - every member of staff (whether that be in the restaurant, behind the bar, cleaning staff, reception, etc) were incredibly kind, chatty and attentive. The food during our stay was excellent. The highlight of this trip was certainly the game drives. We had Jason (field guide) and Abraham (tracker) and both guys were incredibly knowledgeable, skilled and just very nice people - we really hope that our paths cross again some day! "Our second visit at Rissington. Has a colonial feel. Room was spacious with everything you need including a coffee machine and beautiful view. Pool was lovely and food excellent "

"Kruger Park Lodge in general is a very nice property. The property is very well kept, clean and well looked after. The facilities are great with the hippo hide where you can watch hippos safely as well as an extremely nice golf course on the property with impala walking on the course. The pool area is very nice and the restaurant (G’s) is good. There is also a lapa area where they do a traditional braai (think bbq on steroids) and a river area you can walk to. All the staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful. It is a spacious 6 sleeper. The unit itself is great with a few little issues such as the shower door does not close and the double bed in the main upstairs bedroom has a mattress that is not very good. Other than that it is a very nice unit. The air conditioner wasn’t working and when we called them the next day they came out and fixed it almost within the hour. The unit is cleaned every day which is very nice. The lodge is 15 minutes from Phabeni gate into the Kruger Park. Also, even though when you are in the lodge you feel like you are out of the city in the bush, it is 5 minutes away from many good shops and restaurants. "
