Hotel is near to the airport only 5 minutes by taxi. Taxi's at Cairns airport are difficult to find so pre book. Hotel is close to all touristy places and esplanade. Check in was very easy with front desk informing me of various options and facilities of the hotel. Hotel has a lush garden in the middle with a stream running through it. Building appears to be old but rooms are modern. Breakfast is amazing with pancakes, soups , regular items plus array of fruits with a very lovely young hostess taking out time to have chat with us making us feel comfortable . Hotel pool under renovation but can use the other property pool. It is not very close though. The day we wanted to go was also raining so we gave up the idea instead there is an infinity pool on the esplanade which is fun with great BBQ areas. City is surrounded by mountains so the views are very good. Travel desk lady very nice and informative.

Good location. The room was a bit dates, especially the bathroom. The pool was under renovation which was not disclosed at the time of booking and I didn’t received a disclosure. Not cool.

Most poorly designed hotel bathroom I’ve seen. And I have traveled all over the world. Smaller than in a standard cabin on a cruise ship. Drain in the floor that rattled every time you walked into the room or sat on the toilet. So annoying!! And no face cloths.

Second time I have stayed here. Love the location, a few minutes away from busy part of The Esplanade. The pool is fine however might need an upgrade in the near future. Had a king size bed with mountain view in spacious room. Staff warm & friendly. Will be back and stay here.

The hotel was easy walking distance to everything , situated right on the Esplanade close to restaurants, shopping , the pool, boats to the reef and anything you want to do.. No concierge service on arrival and staff on desk had very little English - I found it very hard to communicate with them. Had to pay for parking on top of the room charge. Only one towel in our room. Not at all what I was expecting and I don’t think I would come back in comparison to other places I have stayed here.
