"The short version of this review: Paradise at a pleasing price! Our stay at Gatun Lake Lodge was wonderful! Pierre, our host, was entertaining, accommodating, competent, and charming! "In short, we had a pleasant stay. However, there were certain problems. Apparently, they were short of staff, so in order to enter the urbanization where the hotel is located, because there’s a gate, we had to wait for someone of the area who wanted to enter the urbanization to be able to enter with them. Some guest thought they were mosquito bites - look at the pattern of the bites - in the row, look closely at the mattresses - we found a few bugs after we suspected we were bitten by bed bugs. The worst of all - four fifth of this small island is a trash dump site, septic tank spilled and flooded most of the are you see in "beautiful" pictures posted on line.
