Such a wonderful little village and an amazing place to stay! The views from the windows are great and the back patio is perfect for coffee/wine/dissociating whilst enchanted by the river. Great bolthold for exploring and close to the busses for easy access to Eryri.
This cottage is amazing. Set on the banks of the river in the beautiful village of Beddgelert, this is a great place to stay for an adventure in the Snowdonia National Park.
The bedrooms are very comfortable. The living room is relaxing and the kitchen has everything you need. You’re walking distance to pubs, restaurants and coffee shops as well as several hiking trails.
When it’s time to rest you can sit in the garden next to the river and listen to the water and nature.
Highly recommend it. We’ll be back for sure.
Cosy space and perfect destination to explore snowdonia
Had great walks in the surrounding...e.g.Moel hedog, Abadaron....you need to bring your food if selfcatering, there is no shop in Bedgellert, weather better than the forecast...;-)
An absolutely gorgeous little cottage which was exactly what we needed, we would definitely stay again. Cottage was equipped with everything we could need. Parking was a bit difficult, but we were there on a sunny Easter weekend so understandable!
A beautiful cottage, very clean, the garden looks over the river and was so lovely to be able to sit out in the evening on the patio. Dog friendly too, and an easy walk into the village. Communication with the host was excellent. I would highly recommend this property
We couldn’t fault the cottage. Absolutely spotless and full of character. The weather wasn’t great so we didn’t get to enjoy the patio but was lovely looking at the river from the kitchen window. Beddgelert village itself is like something you see on a postcard, so picturesque with lovely little shops and coffee shops. We would love to return!
Rose cottage was a charming and comfortable place from which we could experience the highlights of the region. Sitting by the river on the outdoor patio was an amazing way to wind down from the many hikes around Beddgelert. The cottage was well equipped and proved to be a superb location. The only downside for us was the flooring. We encourage Elaine to consider replacing the carpet throughout with flooring that could better enhance the cottage’s charm and to ensure tidiness. Elaine was an excellent hostess. We appreciated her responsiveness to our needs and would definitely return to the cottage and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the region.
This is a lovely little cottage to stay in in Beddgelert. I stayed in in at as. New Year's break. Overall, the cottage was lovely with a cosy little lounge, a a small kitchen, dining area and two bedrooms with a bathroom.
Only one small improvement - I would have preferred some central heating as the electric heaters provided did not heat the cottage to a high enough temperature. I'd thoroughly recommend this cottage to anyone coming to Snowdonia though.
We had such a nice four-night stay in Rose Cottage. The beds were comfortable, the shower was nice and hot, and that back patio on the river was just a delight. We had initially worried about parking, but we were always able to get a spot right in front of the cottage. Despite its small size, we also had some nice meals right in the village, especially at the restaurant Hebog just steps away.
There is plenty to do in the area as well, the Sherpa bus picks up right outside the cottage to shuttle you anywhere around Snowdonia. We walked to Gelert’s Grave, and enjoyed the Sygun Copper Mine nearby. We also walked up the Watkin Path, which is quite close, and buzzed around in our car to other villages in the area.
You won’t be disappointed in Rose Cottage as a base of operations in Snowdonia, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Lovely picturesque cottage in a prime location - just wish it was better connected
Loved the village and the cottage was lovely. Very quaint and comfy beds. Pretty decoration. We cooked everyday, and other than trouble with the grill not getting very hot, we managed well and the kitchen was well equipped.
Only complaint is the lack of wifi. Normally we would have been happy to be disconnected from the world (Beddgelert is a mobile black spot) but my friend has a daughter expecting a baby and having very weak internet (connected to next door and walls are thick) that kept disconnecting. This also meant there was no functioning TV - all apps complained of weak signal. (Nothing to do with weather which was glorious). Again, didn’t bother us but someone with kids might struggle on a rainy day. Think an investment in a local router would make all the difference. Especially for guests who might have to do a bit of work.
Please note, this is not a big problem but needs to be noted as some people have commitments that require connectivity, but would recommend for those who want a break from the world. Very pretty indeed.
We stayed here for 3 nights and the cottage was exactly as described, clean, comfortable in a beautiful setting. We would recommend to anyone who is looking for a traditional place to stay in a beautiful setting.
Lovely stay in snowdonia and cottage is well situated in Bedgellert. We loved the village Especially the excellent coffee in the coffee shop and the ice creams at the parlour were Divine. Lucky with the weather we sat outside on the patio by the river most evenings. Will recommend to friends and family.

We loved the property location, its pretty riverside patio garden, the thoughtful and tasteful way it was decorated and the lovely soft new carpets.
