"This is a gem of a small hotel. The location is convenient to the main square and a variety of cafes and restaurants. The guest house itself is beautiful. Each room is unique. The bed was luxurious. I look forward to coming back!"

"Beautiful room. 10 euro breakfast was fresh and homemade. Ana was super helpful. Even assisted in getting us a taxi when the language barrier was making it difficult. "

"It is a country house, run by a very nice accommodating family. They go out of their way to please you, and make you feel at home. It is a quite out of the way place, relaxed atmosphere. It was fine for us that were traveling to Lisbon, and needed a rest. I don’t recommend this place if you are looking fir beaches, or mountains. The Alentejo area is hot and dry."

"Fizemos early check in sem problemas. Chegamos mais cedo e já tinham o quarto pronto e deixaram-nos entrar. Perto da praia, muito sossegado. Apanhamos um fim de semana de sol e bom para usufruir do melhor de Tróia. A praia e as caminhadas pela areia que sabem sempre bem em pleno Novembro. "The villa is perfect for a large group. it caters for all ages. there is a fantastic supermarket close by. The facilities in the complex are great. some lovely beeches a short drive away. car recommended if you want to go out and about. Communication with the host was always excellent and professional - thanks so much!"

"Fabulous place; peaceful and beautiful area, huge sandy beach with shallow water. Hotel has a lovely pool, its staff was very friendly spacious room with large terrace and amazing view. Fantastic breakfasts The only minus for me was lack of coffee/tea maker, I think hotel at this standard should provide it. "

"I had a wonderful time staying here. The view for the breakfast buffet is amazing. I also enjoyed the cultural center across the street where I was able to see a play for 10 euros then walk over and have a nice dinner. The room was clean and modern and restful. The staff were excellent with everything I could possibly need. I will absolutely come back in the future. "

Pousada Castelo de Alcácer do Sal - Historic Hotel

"The Pousada was a very interesting and historical building. We visited the churches near by but one the highlights was the amazing Museum right on sight. The staff recommended some interesting side trips which let us explore the area. Room was very comfortable and buffet breakfast was excellent. "

Our top choice when staying in Setubal.

"Stayed in Setubal for the first 2 nights of our Portugal visit and Rio Art Hotel was one of 2 recommended to us by friends. The gentleman at the front desk was exceptionally helpful and accommodating, giving us great suggestions on things to visit, where to eat, and where to park for the best price. The included breakfast had a good variety of options. The location downtown was perfect for our needs. "
