The cabin was super warm and inviting with nice touches like a fire in the fireplace on arrival along with a nice bottle of wine.

Place was unique and cozy. Owners were kind enough to have the lights on as we arrived at night and couldn't see. They left us a bottle off wine and chocolates and came to check to see if we needed anything the next day. Great people I could see us being friends with. Beautiful property will definitely stay there again.
We enjoyed a perfect weekend to celebrate our anniversary. The food and staff at the pioneer bar were great only a few miles away. Very accommodating for side by sides! Would recommend to anyone.
sunk waay down in the couch in the living area. For older folks hard to get out of. Mustiness of sun porch should be addressed. Sauna and lake setting is great!
Perfect size for 4 adults. The cabin was fairy tale adorable! 2 of the guested had never been to the Northwoods and fell in love with Lake Namakogen. We enjoyed the sauna and firepit!
Beautiful cabin with great attention to details and many extras. The kitchen is very well stocked. The owners, Jim and Carol were on site and very friendly and available for questions, but allow you to enjoy your stay. Our sons, ages 8 & 9, loved fishing off the dock and paddling to and exploring the island. Fabulous place to enjoy a relaxing week.
Such an amazing property. The lake access is sandy and great for swimming, kayaking, and boating. Carol was very helpful and made sure we were aware of all of the available amenities. The cabin is charming and features some fun and unique designs. The Great room was our favorite. We shall be back!
The property was very clean and enjoyable. It had all amenities as listed and water toys for free use. We appreciated the very personal welcome touch to the cabin. Carol and Jim were available for questions and to make our stay extra special. We would consider the place again. Thanks much.
Second time staying here and will be staying here again. Carol and Jim are great hosts and are very accommodating. They go above and beyond to make sure we’ve got everything we need. The cabin is clean and is supplied with all your needs. We rented out the pontoon for a day and cruised around the entire lake and enjoyed the sights along the way. Looking forward to seeing the lake in winter and ice fishing.
The amount of time and effort that went into making this property something special is crazy. Special details on every piece of trim and board. A nice mix of art and structural design.
Helpful and kind folks, clean and neat cabin.
The mosquitoes were bad, but that's to be expected this time of year.
This is the third time we have stayed at Fogarty’s Compound! We always have a great time and quality time with our friends. This year we brought our daughter and her fiancé and they also had a great and relaxing time! This was the first time went there in the winter. What a weird winter it has been. We were able to do a little bit of ice fishing and caught a few fish.
One of my favorites things was to sit in the big sunroom in the big cabin with a roaring fire reading a book. Would highly recommend Fogarty’s Compound summer or winter!!!
We stayed at Jim and Carols cabin for a full week, which gave us an opportunity to get to know the area as well as the amenities the property offered.
As soon as you arrive, you can see the little touches that reflect the properties hand crafted artisan flair! This is a one of a kind cabin and pictures don’t do it justice. It’s a beautifully built home with so many interesting features throughout.
The property sits right on the shore of garden lake. We enjoyed having coffee on the dock and watching the sunrise and occasional loon.
We went fishing daily. Which was great for pan fish. I lost track of counting how many we caught! The evening was great for using the grill to cook up our dinner on the deck.
There is a wood fired sauna that Jim surprised us by getting it started for us. I absolutely recommend enjoying the sauna followed by a dip in the lake to cool off. This was a highlight!
We brought our own little fishing boat, but had motor issues on the last day. Jim was kind enough to offer his boat, even though we hadn’t reserved it for the day.
Carol let us tour the two other little cabins on the property while they were vacant. They were also beautifully built and decorated! I am already talking with our family to have others join us for another trip next summer!
This really is a wonderful property, with great hosts! We can’t wait to come back!
