Fidalsa House of Views

Beautiful townhouse with fantastic mountain views. Without a doubt, a place to get lost in the heart of Liébana, the jewel of Cantabria. A place where you can enjoy a unique landscape, surrounded by nature and tranquility.

Located in a small village consisting of 8 houses and surrounded by natural parks. It is a house with a beautiful mountain facade, typical of the area, well-equipped with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a living-dining room with a fireplace, an American kitchen, a balcony, and a porch with fantastic views to relax and unwind.

The surroundings are spectacular and very peaceful. Families or mountain lovers usually come to enjoy nature and the outdoors. The house, typical of the area, has an outdoor area of approximately 50 m2, where you can enjoy outdoor dining. The views from any part of the village are wonderful, especially those from the pool, just about 20 meters from the house, shared with other houses, as well as the large barbecue area.

It is a very rural area, and the internet connection is deficient.

Ground floor: Living-dining room with an American kitchen.
First floor: Two double bedrooms and a bathroom.

COMMON AREAS:
The pool, completely fenced, is just a few meters from the house. The mountain views from the pool are spectacular.

Nice stay
The house is situated in a beautiful spot with lovely views. The shared pool was nice as we had some good weather and the children enjoyed a splash. The equipment in the house is rather dated and the house was quite dark. Also we are a family of 5 and the house states it sleeps 5 people but it isn’t equipped for 5 people. They could do with some extra crockery, glasses and plates etc. We arrived and the people helping didn’t realize we were a family of 5. So they hadn’t got the bedding for the sofa bed ready. But they sorted out bedding quickly once we’d explained we needed to use the sofa bed too. As our Spanish isn’t good ( unfortunately) and they didn’t speak English the communication at the start was a bit tricky. We did enjoy our stay and had a number of lovely day trips. The location is great, the house is basic and therefore we found it quite expensive.

Great location - has potential to be amazing with some investment
Loved the location on the side of the hills, the pool space was lovely and the BBQ amazing. The outdoor table was a lovely place to eat. Helpful staff, especially with my request to charge electric car. There was some nice walking routes I managed to put together but having some local information pack like that provided would be good. The accommodation was a bit dated and quite dark so didn't entice us to spend time inside. Some modern lighting and decoration would help. We were comparing directly with the place we rented the week before (https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/584514806771218208?guests=1&adults=1&s=67&unique_share_id=83cde77a-8615-40db-a955-231342b5dc5a). You have beds for 4 but only comfy seating for 3 so another comfy chair would be good. Separate pillows for the double bed would be nice! There was no welcome pack (e.g. milk/coffee/fruit/bread) or provision of much like washing liquid, cloths, multiple tea towels to make us seem welcome. As the shops are so far away that would be nice (would be happy to pay for it). It seems to be common in Spain but why do holiday rentals provide a washing machine in each apartment and no dishwasher?! I do not want to wash-up dishes on my holiday and I also do not want to do clothes washing either. Swap the washing machine for dishwasher and retain 1 clothes washing machine for all 8 houses. There is no wifi other than outside on the square. As we discussed it isn't really fair to advertise the property as having it. Really appreciate your compensation but that really needs addressing for future customers e.g. install mesh wifi into the houses. There is obviously the second issue of getting enough bandwidth (speed) for that to be useful in each house, and an expensive satellite solution may be the only way for you to achieve that (starlink?)

The view to the mountains. The small mountain village. Quiet and away from busy Potes but close enough to dine and shop. Nice place to rest and enjoy the views. You can enjoy the swimming pool with view to the mountains and to some walks.
