"Man crossing the River" was unveiled on the 1st of May 2004 to commemorate the Polish entry into the European Union. The sculpture was placed on a rope stretched between the banks of the Brda river and was designed so that its centre of gravity is below the wire, which gives it its balance. #LocalSecrets #History

Focus Hotel Premium Pod Orlem

"Love this historic hotel. So much that we stayed there 5 times in the last 2 years already. Close to downtown and very friendly staff. The only thing I have issue is the bathroom: Shower head out of control ( I mean really out of control as it was spraying all over the bathroom) and very strong current. No way to adjust. Toilet has a very unusual shape… Water was extremely hot. I like it but I think safety… Internet was slogish … Everything else just excellent. Perfect for people who love historical hotels. Dinner was excellent too. "
