"It’s a lovely spot in a quieter/less built up area of the island. There are options for restaurants nearby (including The Rock restaurant, only a couple minutes walk down the beach) although not as many as some of the more developed areas. "This hotel is a great little haven of serenity set right on the beach front with friendly hospitality. The staff are really helpful and will do as little or as much for you as you want. The breakfast is fresh, healthy and sufficient. There are plenty of little restaurants in in the village or along the beach front but the hotel will cook for you if you wish and the food is great."

"This place is amazing. Great service, amazing rooms. Perfect with both pool and ocean swimming. Great place to just hang out, you have everything you need there. The only thing is that it was a few families with kids which made it not very relaxing. We could be a bit unlucky, but maybe contact the hotel before booking to check if there are families with kids that have booked at the same time as you want to go. "

"Because we were only stopping for 2 nights we weren't too particular as to the room so chose the cheapest option but in retrospect we should have picked one next to the pool. We were in an annexe a 20meters away and it was a small room, though it did provide an effective ac unit, tea and coffee facilities, hit shower, clean towels both days, mosquito net, and it was clean and well presented. "From our first arrival we were greeted with cool towels and warm smiles. The staff is amazing!! Esther at the front desk was very accommodating on our last day- our flight wasn't until late at night so got a lovely extra late check out. The food each day was prepared fresh and most delicious! Our room was the honeymoon suite which including a private pool and the maintenance guy always made sure to clean our pool as well. Having beach access from our room was a great plus because we were in the ocean/beach a lot! This place has not seen the last of us!!!"

Konokono Beach Resort and Isaraya Over Water Villa

"Perfect stay in Zanzibar. If you want a quiet, cosy and well-maintained place in the island, Konkokoro is an ideal place to stay. We felt like having a private beach :). The food was delicious. The staff was so nice. Facility is clean. Highly recommended !"

Great stay

"We stayed in a jungle villa for a few nights and had a very nice stay. Staff is very friendly, food is very tasty and room was always very clean. Ramso was at our service and he did an amazing job, he was so heartwarming and proactive, regularly asking us how we are and if we need something, asante sana! All communication was done via Whatsapp. Be aware that in the jungle villa, the animals surrounding can be loud in the night! The last patch of road to the hotel is not paved but that is a minor thing. Unfortunately, the hotel does not have an ATM and the front desk was unable to hand out cash that we wanted for the last 2 days as we ran out..."

Dream of Zanzibar Resort & Spa - Premium All Inclusive

"Food was excellent - particularly prawn grill nights, service very attentive. All inclusive took the pressure off finding food locally. While the beach was cleaned each day, there is an unfortunate amount of rubbish from the locals - not something the hotel can control. More access to water would have been good. Many minor repairs are needed, like taps, locks air con, but as they say in Africa pole pole. Great stay, we enjoyed the hotel. "
