Lovely place to stay in a rural setting. The cottage was cosy and warm, and had everything we needed. The only downside was no wifi, but we had a good phone connection so managed with our hotspot. Jo & Clive were great hosts alwsys available and helpful. It is ideally situated for walk, Buxton, Leek and other peak park towns. Would definitely book it again.
This is an excellent cottage, located very conveniently to Buxton and Leek and Jo is a wonderful host - cozy and comfortable rooms, warm and a very friendly host.
We loved our stay and highly recommend it - on top of all this, the view is to die for!
The cottage is gorgeous with amazing views. The host is lovely and communication was really good. The cottage has everything we needed and we enjoyed sitting outside taking in the views and inside when it got chilly where it was cosy and warm.
We had a fabulous stay at Ridgehead. Warm welcome and despite a slight hiccup, which was soon remedied, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Can't wait to go back.
Weekend break in a beautiful peaceful area. Cosy cottage with everything you need for a home from home. Lovely touches from the host with wine and bicuits. Lots of places to visit nearby. Would recommended this cottage.

Beautiful cottage, thoughtful hosts, stunning views and excellent for walking or visiting local towns.
Wine & cookies on arrival 😊
Joanne was a lovely host! The cottage had everything we needed for our short break.
Loved the horses and friendly sheep
Would Love to return when the snow has arrived
The property has everything one needs, quite a lot of basic products such as milk, tea, coffee, sugar were provided.
The heating was on as temperatures were low for June!
The cottage is lovely, with great views and in a peaceful setting. We had a wonderful few days cycling, walking and visiting nearby attractions, such as Chatsworth and Bakewell.
Would definitely recommend and hopefully return to explore the Peak District further.
Lovely stone cottage warm and cosy. Excellent location stunning views. Everything you need. Stayed last year again this year will definately return. Thanks Jo
We had a lovely 3 day break here at this cosy little cottage (despite storms Eunice and Franklin passing straight over us). The cottage is well equipped, warm and well situated for lots of lovely walks or to see Bakewell, Buxton and Chatsworth House. Our hosts were very welcoming and we will definitely be booking again sometime soon.
Stayed for 10 nights in May, had a fabulous time. Everything was included for a great self catering stay. Very convenient location for spectacular walks and good pubs...(Pack Horse at Crowdecote is a must.) Would definitely recommend Curlew cottage and will try to stay there again later this year. Clive and Jo are very welcoming hosts but watch out for the 1 legged chicken!
