Just an incredible place to see and experience especially to get a feel for the culture of the Philippines, very different world from life in the U.S. but I was expecting it..

Butuan is really not all that exciting. We visit every two or three years only to see my wife's family - I don't believe we'd visit again if not for the family connection.
It's an interesting town, visited some shady bars and was rewarded with some bucket list experiences. It's a small city in southern phillipines, a little dilapidated but the people are friendly overall.
