I had a pleasant stay here just overnight. The staff could not have been better and were very friendly and helpful. Plenty of free parking. Situated in a lovely quiet village. Food was excellent. Only issue was the bed, the mattress desperately needs replacing. The shower made a noise like a hoover but the water temperature was fine.

The staff were excellent; parking was no problem, and the shower was good, but I found the mattress to be very uncomfortable - I could feel every spring.
This is a very small property, with only 6 rooms. I like the location, the breakfast in the morning, and the staff. Always willing to help and friendly. Also, the bed has the best duvets you can find. Not sure why that makes it so great, but always rest well here.
Did not stay as felt unsafe there. Bedroom was dirty and bar was very unwelcoming for single person.

Dodgy window blind!
Staff friendly, food was good.
Unfortunately the blind in the room didn’t cover the bottom inch of the window allowing anyone to look straight in onto the bed, very uncomfortable nights sleep knowing that people could see you! Also bright green safety exit light above door is too bright!

Perfect for a working stay. 10 minutes from Bury St Edmunds. Accommodation was a touch dated and basic but the breakfast was excellent!
Very welcoming and staff always ready to please. The units weee very well equipped, including fridge. Our personal outside space was lovely but the chairs very uncomfortable. Also shared this space with pub garden making it noisy, smoky and at times our chairs were borrowed. Also the mattress springs can be felt and the plastic lined 13 tog quite is too much for a heatwave.
Friendly and helpful staff. Country pub feel. Rooms outside you should consider this if you are a lone traveller. Not an issue for me as it was really quiet.2
Great value for money
Overnight stay whilst visiting friends. Accommodation basic but clean, great for what we needed. Unfortunately no heating all evening and overnight so very cold. Was given a little plastic fan heater which we were told was safe to use all night. This was very noisy and I wasn’t happy that it was safe to keep on all night so left it off. Radiator hot in the morning!! My parents who also had a room and other guests staying had the same issue with no heating overnight and also had complaints of too cold so wasn’t just one room. Otherwise staff friendly and good breakfast.
