Nestled along the stunning shoreline, the house provided the perfect winter escape for our family over a long weekend. Despite a storm rolling through, the cozy atmosphere of the house made it feel like a true haven.The house itself exceeded our expectations. It was more than adequate in size, offering plenty of room for everyone to relax and unwind without feeling crowded. The amenities were fantastic – from a well-equipped kitchen to comfortable living spaces, every detail was thoughtfully provided to ensure a comfortable stay.What truly made this location special was its proximity to the shore. Waking up to the sound of waves and stepping outside to take in the breathtaking coastal views was an absolute treat. Even during the stormy weather, the charm of Annagary and its rugged beauty shone through.This staycation was a perfect blend of comfort and adventure. Whether it was cozying up indoors with the family or braving the elements to explore the surrounding area, we felt completely at home. "Very warm and friendly welcome. Check in was very easy. Room was very clean, comfortable, and warm. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was very, very good - highly recommend their fish dishes. This is a gem of a hotel and we will definitely stay here again. Very convenient to Donegal airport (Carrickfinn). "We loved our time at the Hidden Lodge. It was a perfect place for us to tuck in for a couple days of a slow-down in the middle of our two week trip around Ireland. The quiet town of Ardara had anything we needed and even some sweet little shops to explore. (Definitely stop and visit with Eddie at his tweed shop and get a demonstration of his loom!) We are more scenery and wilderness seekers than city shoppers, though, and the area did not disappoint! Day trips to see waterfalls, mountains, and beaches were just what we were looking for. And even on one of our days when we needed to lay low, the lodge itself is THE most lovely haven."
